New player! Hello!

I'd recommend Mastering a few more Force powers, though Dreams and Guidance are nifty for sure. The Scholar is a template that is more powerful in the Force.

Greetings. 😄

Hmm perhaps I'm not making the best use of the scholar's advantages by not mastering too many of the powers, thought the reason I actually chose the scholar in the first place was because it seemed to be the most versatile Jedi Knight (non-renegade and non-veteran) template, and I was thinking that I would start off with the basics for the most part and perhaps master a few more when I level up.

BTW I read the pre-start thread and the story's looking really cool. Real stoaked about playing this character!

Good!

The real power of the Scholar is that they are intelligent, socialable, and strong in the Force. So maybe consider getting some Masteries in the social Force powers. Though don't neglect any combat-related ones. It's Star Wars, there are always fights.

Yay! Another Scholar! 😄

Do you have any ideas for a bio? It's not necessary, but if you have ideas I can bear them in mind.

Hmm I am thinking about maybe just the generic Jedi Padawan bio and nothing really in particular as I want to begin shaping the character's story from the beginning of the game itself.

I guess the famous master merit should probably be mentioned somehow though that would depend on which Jedi I get (could I make a request lol?).

It generally helps to have a little explanation about your background. Not necessarily a whole epic story about your past exploits, but maybe some character mentalities (for example, why your Scholar is so driven to be widely learned in all sorts of knowledge) or things explaining your Merits (like who your Famous Master was).

I guess I could make an attempt at that at least. Let's see...

Never knew my parents. Grew up in an orphanage on Coruscant until I was discovered by the Jedi. Feel that everyone is alone in the world (likely have abandonment issues) and because of that I want to be fully self sufficient and not have to rely on anyone for anything, hence my need to be proficient at everything.

Regarding master can I pick anyone who was alive between episodes 1 and 2, who wasn't known for having an existing padawan or definitely not having a padawan? Though that may rule out any Jedi we know of if they really are going to be famous so would it be possible to make one up maybe?

The Jedi are just concluding an interview with a sociopath right now, but then you will be in!

For your Famous Master, you can even make someone up. Doesn't have to be pre-existing.

A little OT, but I have to share. If you've not seen The Avengers yet, do it NOW! Most fun I've had in a theatre in a long while.

I've been informed by my coworkers I need to go see it.

I'm kind of considering it.

Yes! Avengers was amazing! I'm sorely tempted to go see it again sometime soon, too impatient to wait for the DVD.

Needless to say I recommend seeing Iron Man 1 and 2, Captain America and Thor before you go, if you haven't seen them already. 😛

I definitely support this. You don't really need to see the previous movies before going but it certainly adds to the experience. It was great.

I, also, thoroughly enjoyed The Avengers.

That is all.

I'm just not really interested in it, and I've not seen any of the previous ones 😛

I think my face just melted out of surprise... 😛

😛

I'm not really a movie-watcher. Not my preferred form of entertainment. I've already seen two this year and I think that's some sort of record for me!

Fair enough! But if you get the urge to rent any movies this year I recommend the ones I listed.

Out of curiosity, what ones did you see?
