I'm extremely lazy when it comes to concerts (lazy as in: I don't go to any) but I've made a commitment to see some underground shit if they come to Sac in the near future. My friend has seen Blackalicous which pisses me off to no end.
Speaking of Blackalicious, liked The Craft. Nowhere near as good as Blazing Arrow and I'd put Nia ahead of it also. Production was great on most tracks and weak on others "Side by Side" the main culprit. Gab still brought it hard. Great album, not their best though.
Cool.
I remember reading online a few months ago that Aesop and Mr Lif played at the Auckland (NZ) Big Day Out 2004, i was crushed. Because nobody had heard of them they were not advertised at all, otherwise wild horses wouldnt have kept me away. We struggle to get big names here so i doubt if any of the underground names are gonna be heading to lil old NZ any time soon.
thats shitty, someone tole me some people from p & c records are supposed to be comin down to kingston pretty soon, i dont care who it is from the label, im gonna head down to that for sure.
I just got into labor days like a week ago, it really blew me away. I found aesop really annoying the first time i heard him but i got past the voice and now i dont mind it at all. Any suggestions for the next aesop album or should i just go in the order that he put em out and get his earlier ones too.
I've only got Labor Days so i'm not sure first hand what you should get next. I've heard Float was good albeit a bit raw and Bazooka Tooth is a bit bizarre and takes a while to get used to. I've heard a few tracks off the Fast cars, danger, fire and knives EP and i'd recommend that.
I hope you get to see the P&C crew live man, of course we would expect a full review.
