great rap group, i love white people who can actually bust.

apathy is a great white rapper, along with copywrite and cage from the weathermen. qwel, virtuoso and aesop rock are dope white rappers aswell. gruf is my favourite from p & c, all those guys are white.

Liquid Sword by RZA sounds pretty cool, ive never really heard him out, i liked him on C.R.E.A.M. (favorite by the Clan) but thats really all ive heard of him.

ya mixed rza up with gza, thats his album.

Well i've finished listening to Cold Vein (for now) and it is an assault on the eardrums. You just never know what sound El-P is gonna throw in next, he's production style stands alone. I would have been happy with just Vast emceeing on the album to be honest, Vordul doesnt really do much for me. I'll have to listen to it again to pick my favourite tracks but its definitely gonna be on high rotation for a while. Here's a cool interview with Vast (gotta love him smokin a spliff while being interviewed):

i totally agree with you, i havent heard one rhyme by him that i like. he kind of ruined that album for me. a couple more guest spots and no vordul woulda made for a way better album IMO.

Vast totally outshined Vordul on Cold Vein but the sad thing is how much Vast has fallen off since then. He used to be one of my favorite MC's, and now his material is borderline wack. I wish he could bring it back to the days of Cold Vein. Hopefully he will now with Ox2. Vordul has surpassed him in every way since the first Cold Vein album. That said, Vordul was still dope on CV and deserves to be there every second he is.

on Cold Vein, Vast outshined Vordul on every single track they were both on.

but solo albums, Vast's was awful, but Vorduls was extreamly good. i consider it ALMOST a classic. everything about it was great IMO.

Behind the Front- Black Eyed Peas

anyways about Def, i personally think Black on Both Sides was his best work IMO, i have the album, i personally think New World Water, Umi Says, Got, and Know That are amazing.

Liquid Sword by RZA sounds pretty cool, ive never really heard him out, i liked him on C.R.E.A.M. (favorite by the Clan) but thats really all ive heard of him.

You guys gave me alot of Wu Albums so i gotta check em out.
oh and can you guys see Doom on my sig. he is faded in the black area next to Def.

If you're going to get a Beastie Boys album get Paul's Boutique first. Easily their best, IMO. Definitely gotta get all the Wu Tang you can. Make sure to get any Method Man album last because aside from 2-3 classic tracks all of his albums are YAWN. So make sure you get Liquad Swords, Only Built 4 cuban Linx, Enter the Wu-Tang, Ironman, and Return to the 36 Chambers.

sick cover.

Yup, definitely an ILL cover.

Here's another classic track from Melodica. A top 5 Blackalicious track EASILY. I remember being a teen chilling with some friends, smoking, listening to this track over and over. Ahhh, the memories. Xcel is the man! I loved the chilled laid back beat and Gab always spits something I can relate to (except I don't drink 😛)

I'd personally recommend Blackout! by Meth and Red. A lot of people dislike their newer stuff and I can understand why. I'm not fond on it. I personally believe that back when they released that album they were on top of their games. Quite an underrated album also.

See, why do the white men group gotta be called The Weathermen? Meth and them get a name like Wu-Tang. Apathy and co get The Weathermen haha.

What's happening with Dangerdoom? That album was supposed to be out on the 3rd and it's not here yet. Has it been put back?

Speaking of bringing back memories, Blackout is a f*cking great album. I've worn out 3 CD's since it was released. And Definitely gotta check out Redman. He's put out at least 3 classic albums.

Oh, and the Dangerdoom album is out everywhere as far as I know.

Edit: It was released on the 11th.

It's not out here till the 27th, bastards.

I agree, Blackout! is one of my favourite hip hop albums of all time. It's not heavy on the brain, but it does display some of the greatest lyricism both from a duo and individually, ever seen. In my opinion anyway.

Meth and Red on Y.O.U is out of this world. Redman is excellent on that album, always has those lines that seemingly make no sense...but somehow DO make sense.

Also, if you can be bothered, I always loved Organised Konfusion. I quite like Internal Affairs by Pharoahe Monch also.

Stress: The Extinction Agenda is one of the greatest hip-hop albums ever. That's like not even an opinion. and agree 100% that Blackout is a fun album. It's great to put on when you're hanging out with all your friends. An album that pretty much anybody can enjoy. I haven't ran into anybody yet who hates on the album. Kinda makes me want to put it on now...

Thats a shame about Vast, i was hoping to get some more of his material. Any word on when Ox2 is coming out?
