i have 6000 files man, **** that. it'd take me like 2 days of straight work, plus i dont really care if someone cant dl something from me, i mean thats not why i have the program. i do like things being organized, but the amount of time it would take to organize all my stuff and how hard it would be just isnt worth it.

Yea man, but it's only courteous. You say you don't care about other people, but these other people are where you're getting your files. It's a community. We all have to do our part. It's not that tough of a task.

i agree with what your saying, but i dont think you know what i mean by it taking me an actual 12 hours of straight organizing. all the files are 01, 02, 03, 04, up to the mid twenties. im talking 175 songs for track 01 alone (i just counted). im not up for that, i dont have the time.

if you want my advice, and even if you dont id still give it to you.... LOL
use Windows Media Player or iTunes to organize your files
just go to the 'library' and then start organizing it from there
take it slow, start with your favs... even i havent organized all my shit yet
thats why you organize it the moment you pick up tracks for an album or artists. if iwere you i would do it simple, day by day like take all WU tracks put it in a folder, then take all hieroglyphics tracks put it in a folder, then later organize them by albums ya know. it'll take hours if you do it all at once, do it piece by piece.

That's pretty much how you do it. Good advice tengu. Also, when you d/l an album, d/l the folder too. That way you don't have to organize anything. It comes like that already. Imagine if you just d/l the folder when you d/l an album. Everything would be done for you by now. I'm just trying to give you a few tips. I've been there for some time now and people on slsk are some of the most anal people you'll ever come across. You think banning because your files weren't organized is anal? Man, you don't even wanna know what I've seen. People can be ridiculous.
And no prob on the Cyne album. My friend's a big fan and he would hate me forever if I didn't help out a fellow cyne fan.

my files are organized in my music player, just not in folders so people can have easy access to them on soulseek.

my files were organized up until i got soulseek, i didnt even think about putting them in their own folders for a second before that. im trying to categorize my music folder to make it sorts them by artists, but its taken 20 minutes so far and still goin strong.

i didnt know you could do that, always thought it was a pic of the cover or something. you mean the 00 folder before the tracks start right?

I hadnt heard much from Pharoahe Monch before other than he is dope, i really like the track The Life by him. Common is always class and i've been listening to more of Talib's solo stuff recently, he's new album is really solid (thanks Point).
