I've been listening to a lot of Bone Thugs N Harmony lately. Very underrated group.

I like that "Crossroads" song. I hate their rapping style though.

Doesn't one of then sound like Popeye, lol.

Bizzy bone, i think...

The voice popeye's makes when he busy or happy when talks under his breath with that hi pitch.

Think about when Bizzy says "And I'm gonna miss everybody" in that "Crossroads" song. I swear I hear it, lol.

I think that's their defining moment, not necessarily their best. Though it IS a really good song.

I sort of think it lacked that element to make it more than just an ultra famous song, but one that could actually live up to people's hailing of it. I do like East 1999 Eternal though. Good album.

Though, being from the UK, Crossroads has sort of been soiled for me after a certain group covered it.

😱 You're in Jamaica? Sweet, thats where my dad hails from. Where in Jamaica are you?

As for recommendations i would seriously suggest anything by Cyne, they have an awesome sound and really positive (without being preachy) lyrics. Standout tracks would be "Steady" and "Out of time" from the album "Time being" and "Haze" and "Arrow of god" from "Evolution flight". You can PM me for more info if you like.

Have a happy easter everyone, if you're like me and off work for 4 days then eat, drink, 😮‍💨 and be merry!
💃

Ha, I only just noticed your avatar are Cunninlynguists 😱 😮

Anyway, sorry but Im unfortunately not in Jamaica. I would LIKE to be there. I was in Kingston few days ago though 😎, but Kingston in England, not in Jamaica. 😮

My location changes often depending on the place where I wish I was, l have visited and loved or hoping to visit very soon.
Love Jamaica.

I will definitively check out Cyne.

I can comftably say that stuff you have recommended me (Phay J and hh- also) I have really liked.
Cunninlynguists have entered into my list of favourite artists.

I also like Handsome Boy Modeling School nerd

I listenend to S.O.N.O.G.R.A.M, and I liked it. I didnt have a lot of time to totally contrencate on the lyrics in every song, since I was working, but it made me wanna check other stuff by One Be Lo.

Oh and Happy Easter all.

yeah the quality on that mixtape is pretty shitty, is that the bootleg one that i upped while ago?

he should have an album by now, he definitely deserves to have one. it took me awhile to warm up to him, but i really like him.

no hes not

its just big juss on that track

To switch gears, earlier I read this piece on hip hop, I found interesting.

It read that Hip-hop has basically 3 eras.

1970-1986 = Old school era

1986-1993 = The Golden age of Hip-Hop

1993-present = Modern era of Hip-Hop

What do you guys think about that?.

I think you'll find that R.A speaks over the chorus vocals.

Pac's "Me Against the World" is the only album I see doing that with.

I've done it with 'Me Against the World" too, great album, 'So Many Tears' is still my favorite rap song.

Others I can listen all day long are Immortal Technique's Revolutionary Vol. 2 and Biggie's 'Ready 2 Die' specifically for 'Big Poppa', 'Warning', and most definitly 'Juicy'.

Well then he clearly does both doesn't he? I just went to check the lyrics/lyrical credits and every single site I found credits his name as speaking over the chorus vocals.

Also: http://members.aol.com/WMckel3248/R_A.html

Go to the bottom, you'll see it says:

Guest Spots:

"Company Flow 'Population Control' Funcrusher Plus (Rawkus - 1997)"

So either you're not listening properly or you're getting the songs mixed up.
