Here's a short bio i found:
Just one of the acts making Cincinnati one of the seminal cities for underground rap, Five Deez formed around area producer/MC extraordinaire Fat Jon the Ample Soul Physician and MC/producer Pase Rock. The pair debuted with EPs in 1999 and 2000, then released their first full-length, Koolmotor, in 2001. Both are also heavily involved in the Cincinnati-based Wanna Battle crew, also including DJ Hi-Tek, Talib Kweli, Lone Catalysts, and Rubix.
Their album Koolmotor is the shit:
My favourite track from the album, Decapitated Orgasms:
Hope this converts you -hh-, they are well worth getting into.

He's not a hypocrite for saying "I don't cuss in my records" then then cussing in his movies. If he said "Cussing is wrong" and then did it, that would be hypocricy. He said he doesn't cuss in his music and as far as I know, he hasn't.Ice Cube isn't a good actor. Morgan Freeman is an example of a good actor.

And talk about a typecast..
Will Smith is always just "Will Smith" no matter what role he plays. Fresh Prince, Bad Boys, I Robot, Wild Wild West... all his roles are basically interchangable: the goofy acting, smooth talking brother from Philly.
And Ice Cube is a good actor. He's not great, but he's good. Also, Tupac is a good actor too. Better than Will Smith.

Oh dear. Where to start.
First off; No. He said he doesn't cuss in his records and he doesn't, because he obviously feels that his music isn't the place for that. Secondly, he doesn't write the scripts for his movies, he just acts them. He's not saying "I'd love to swear there." It's in the script. Furthermore, I've never seen Will Smith cuss in any serious way in any of his movies other than Bad Boys/Bad Boys 2, which isn't intended for KIDS anyway.
Will Smith obviously doesn't believe in going to the studio to talk about things he doesn't do, nor should he be doing. Things that get people killed. I'd ask Proof the same thing, but it appears he's dead for similar reasons. Will Smith in Bad Boys swearing and killing people isn't actually Will Smith saying "This is OK." It's Mike Lowry, the character. Will Smith is Will Smith on his albums. So he represents Will Smith. Clearly a man who feels it's not necessary to rap about violence and criminality to make good music, and I commend him for continuing to do so amidst the wave of people dissing him and making fun of him.
As I said before, give me a Will Smith album over 50 Cent, Nelly etc etc.

Yes, but the same could be said about Tommy Lee Jones and how he'll always seem like an FBI agent. The fact is, Will Smith is a one trick pony, but it's a trick he does very well. If Will Smith aims to get a laugh out of you in a movie, 9/10 he can do it and not because of the script, but because of how he acts it out.

Ice Cube is a good actor? I wouldn't know, I stopped watching any movie he was in after the credibility riddled Ghosts of Mars, Friday After Next, xXx 3 and lest we forget the outstanding Anaconda. Though I hear he's on for an oscar in that recent one he did.
If you can't tell, I'm being sarcastic, he was shit in all of them. The only one he was good in was Friday and Next Friday, even then it wasn't because of acting ability. In any case, he had to play a young black male from LA. How tough. Christian Bale should be worried, this guy clearly plays roles he has to struggle with.
Tupac was not a good actor. He may have been in a good movie or whatever, but he's not a good actor.

Yes, and clearly that post was overflowing with relevance and selflessness.
It seems to me that all you've done so far is ask to be spoonfed new music and the occassional chip-in with a "Yeah I like this, give me more." As someone said before, a lot of casual debating goes on in this thread, even if it's not on topic. Those of us who have visited this thread for a while would know that, you know...like me. Though this is, isn't it? Hip hop MCs in film. Think first, post after. A little advice from me to you there Lil. Will you harvest and use it? We can only hope.
I understand that you want us all to rabidly discuss hip hop so that you have more reference points to go steal music from, but recognise that you're new to this thread, nobody really had any problem in this thread until you put everyone on their monthly visit. If you don't like interacting with me, then don't. Clear? Excellent.

as for the rest of your post, i didn't bother reading, the response is one and only -
blabla
That's your way. Say what you want then turn on the "Lalala can't hear you" when anyone else replies in a way you dislike. Like right now.
I never asked you to walk on eggshells. I said that if you're going to choose to get involved, do so. Like I said before, I appreciate that you're trying very hard to get some credibility with hip hop music, but that's all you are. A tryhard. Takes more effort to post a one line bitchy, needless ironic and hypocritical comment than it does to pay no mind to my posts.
Be off with you.

Oh I see...
I'm sorry Mr Smith, I didn't realize that was you.
On the real though, I'm not about to get into an in depth argument over the Fresh Prince. I've said my piece and that's that. You got your opinion, and I got daTROOF.
