I don't feel that your post was an attack on me, at all. You couldn't attack me with a post if you tried. No offense meant there, just truth.
If it's NOT about race, then why did you point out "white guys" dressing like "niggas"? That is a racial statement. Why did you say it if it's not about race? That's what I don't get. However:

I think that's a pretty pathetic thing to do regardless of whether you're black, white or any race. It doesn't matter to me what tone you are. I think a black guy doing that would look just as stupid. Unless you believe black guys have more right or purpose to dress that way, in which case you're discriminating and stereotyping your own race.
How about this:
How stupid do they look? They're dressed as bad, but I bet you don't think it's stupid because they're black, despite that having NOTHING to do with it. If they were white, you'd call them wiggers.
Despite that dress code not being hip hop at all. It's basketball jerseys and bucket hats. These two things are items of clothing available for purchase by anyone, for anyone. Proof that hip hop isn't a culture, it just has particular dress codes that hip hop fans sometimes adhere to.

son its not a good look for hiphop! you agree with me, right?
No, I don't. Why don't I? Here's why:
Because WHAT IN THE HELL does that kid, or that man, have to do with me and my love of hip hop music? How is that affecting me and hip hop? It's not, at all. Dress like that if you want to, don't dress like it if you don't want to. It's no business of mine, it doesn't change hip hop to me, or the way I love it.

1. what makes you hiphop?
Never said I was, because there isn't such a thing as "being hip hop". As I have proven time and time again. Your statements are just making you look more stupid.

2. if youre saying all that ive done was small and unimportant... what the helll have u done for hiphop?
About as much as you. Listened to it, loved it, been to shows. Unless you believe you do have to dress a certain way and be a certain skin tone to love it. You being black and having braids hasn't done anything for hip hop, at all.

3. why start namecalling? i fought very hard not to call you anything that would offend you son... why do that shit to me????
What namecalling? Racist? Idiot? You're proving yourself to be both. Calling me names now will just make your credibility descend into the other circles of hell. It won't offend me. Call me what you want.

4. am i wrong for saying that hiphop is a culture? or am i wrong for saying those things are destroying hiphop?
Yes and yes.
If you are saying that men dressing a certain way is destroying a genre of MUSIC that you supposedly love, then you don't love hip hop at all. You don't love music at all.
I listen to rock music, metal music...do you see me posting pictures of stereotypical wannabe "goth" kids and claiming how they're ruining it? No, why? Because they're not, and to claim that they are, is stupid.

I never said you were, I said the mentality of some people is to look down on those who aren't black and from american "ghettos".
The fact that I have more knowledge and appreciation than you of what makes hip hop great, is enough for me.

I would just like to add few things, not a lot of people who endorse the ''thug'' lifestyle tend to know.
As far as the ''thug'' dressing sense goes - this was strictly prison culture - it leaked onto the streets - the hip-hop music (traditionally) had NOTHING to do with it.
This is just for information purpose, as those are really rarely known facts.
(in fact I didn't know about it until the recent ''race and crime'' lecture I attended)
The ''bling bling'' thing which a lot of ''thugs'' have going - this emerged at the times when all black people lived in ghettos. Obviously not all black people were poor, some were earning good money at the time, so in order to distinguish themselves from those black people who were poor, they made a point of buying expensive cars, wearing expensive jewelry and clothes, while still living in ghettos (since they didn;t have choice)
This seems kind of contradictory seeing how a lot of ''thugs'' preach about ghettos, yet wear bling bling...or whatever. The concept confuses me anyway.
Also, the dress code of ridiculously baggy pants worn in the way ''thugs'' do emerged from prison, as I previously mentioned. They waren't allowed belts in prisons so they hung down really low.

hopefully one of you can help me figure this out...
i have always listened to Sage Francis...but i never understood if he was an atheist...christian...or what? the guy says many poetical things...but i never really understand what he believes in.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3heoQQkIUE
i dunno...i always thought he was an atheist at first cuz of all the things he said about christ on 'personal journals'
i dont know. i dont put much stock in what a person believes in, as long as i like their music. i know thats not what you meant, like you'd like him more if he believed in the same thing you do. but yeah it doesnt really make a difference for me.
i liked that verse though 👆

Both of those statements are true. I recall when thug style was in its infancy when I was doing time in the Arizona State Penn in the late 80's.
Where did you learn that, lil bitchiness?
ROFL @ point calling AC pompous
Looks like AC has something in common with your hero Kobe so don't hate.
ROFL @ all this beef
ROFL @ suckas arguing why they're hip-hop
Sorry my negro, but if you feel u have to defend the fact that you're hip-hop (on KMC no less), you're not hip-hop. Period.
and yes dressing like an idiot does not make you hip-hop. Well played AC with the cam pic. Foolish. Just Foolish.
Point you trying too hard mang. Anybody who's hip-hop doesn't have to prove it.
I think point is trying hard to be what he wants to be. Relax mang. We believe you.
