If i like the lyrics to a track then it doesnt matter what genre of hip hop it falls into. I've heard plenty of underground artists that do nothing for me and vice versa with mainstream artists. It just seems that most of the really successful hip hop artists put less thought into what they are talking about.

-hh-, im glad you could finally find some hip hop common ground with your boys.

lately ive been putting less stress on lyrics and flow and just listening to the song as a whole. i used to be really anal on lyrics, like if the artist didnt sing about something real or have crazy rhymes or something then i wouldnt even consider listening to him. ive sort of matured in that it doesnt have to fit into my own little idea of whats ill, now if it sounds good then ill listen to it.

That selection completely ruined it for me.

And to everyone,

What's your opinion on the Marshall Mathers LP versus the Slim Shady LP? I've always had an argument against one of my friends on which one's better, and he always seems to be able to leave me thinking. So, in your opinions, which one's better?

i dont listen to eminem alot, so i cant really tell you which is better, they both have solid tracks from what i've heard.

Slim Shady LP, Rock Bottom is an awesome track. Just shows what he can do when the inspiration is there.

Marshall Mathers LP has batter beats and his delivery on it is way better then the Slim Shady LP. I always thought the Slim Shady LP was the best he's done for a long time, then today I listened to it today and now I think Marshall Mathers LP is his best. Rabbit Run and 8 Mile are my favorite songs of his though.

Slim Shady is better in every aspect. just my opinion.

Infinite was good too.

The Slim Shady LP, in my opinion, is one of the most original hip hop albums of all time, and to add to that, it's got great MUSIC on it too.
