Wow! I have to go Rock the Bells this year no matter what. They just announced Madvillain, Jedi Mind Tricks, and El-P so combined with RAGE and Wu-Tang, it's virtually a necessity for me to be there. Closest show for me would be at San Bernadino, CA on the 11th of August. It's going to be a slow ass 5 months.

Kamaal the Abstract was an unreleased album by rapper Q-Tip, which was to be released by Arista on April 23, 2002 but was canceled due to the fact that the record label deemed the album too "un-commercial".

I haven't heard that album (it feels like) in forever. Not a big fan of solo Tip.
Is anyone actually bothering with the new Wu-Tang Clan album?
People are saying it won't work without O.D.B, but I'm not sure. A lot of their best work didn't feature crazy contributions from him in my opinion. I don't think Ol' Dirty was great because he was in the Wu, I think he was great anyway.
Speaking of which, has anyone bothered with Redman's new album?

I'll check it out. Rza, Ghost, Gza, and Rae are enough reason for me to give it a spin. ODB will be missed tho. Aint the same without him, but honestly it wont make that big a difference.
EDIT: the new Redman is ok. It had too many tracks and too many guests in my opinion. It would have been a lot better if it was a bit shorter and had more meth instead of red's other homies.

I looked at the tracklist and that's a big worry for me, that as time goes on, they'll (Him and Meth.) start having more and more guest appearances. I don't have a problem with long albums, but yeah, Malpractice had one too many tracks, it's 78 minutes of occasional good stuff. I think Red has always had the combination the wrong way around. A comedic MC who can be very great with general delivery and lyricism, rather than a consistently great MC who blends in moments of great comedy.
I think Meth is the perfect MC in many ways. Obviously perfect differs person to person, though.
It looked like there weren't too many guest spots, but the ones that WERE there were expected ones. So it wasn't bad, but it could have been better. I can't blame him for NOT having more Meth, I think he's in danger of becoming too attached to Meth.
Although I think we all know what their potential is when they're together, on form and MOSTLY on their own, we've all heard Blackout! after all.
Though I'd like an opinion from ANYONE: Listen to 4 Seasons, is LL's verse not one of the worst in hip hop history?
They're supposedly working on a new album aren't they? B.A.S.I.C.S or something?

That's "Six Feet Deep" to the general public. "Niggamortis" has exclusive tracks, and it's the only Gravediggaz worth listening to. I remember when "Horror-core" was supposedly taking off with them and Flatlinerz. That lasted all of 1 year.
I was considering new Redman, but I'm too busy knocking out elements of my "classics" collection.
