What do you guys think of the new British musician Asher, and his album Asleep in the Bread Aisle, the media are calling him 'middle class hip hop', I've only heard one song so far.Is the album any good, worth getting? Just like your opinions on it.
It's music just to chill to. It's not really complex, doesn't have much substance, but it's easy to listen to.
I enjoyed it for the most part.

I listened to it yesterday, the best tracks seemed to be towards the end of the album. I'm not a fan of the single out here in Britain at the moment, but the rest of the album seems all right, don't like it enough to buy the whole thing though. I see what you mean about the chill element.

looking for music.
I personaly dabble hear and there with underground and old school,
stuff like, Doom (not his new stuff), Binary Star, Immortal technique, Canibus, Canibal OX, cunnilinguist, blu, etc. What other underground stuff is really heavy and on that level.
Not really my everyday music.

Hey J
I just checked KMC today, sorry for the wait. I actually sent the PM before I read this, so it's waiting there in your box.
Hip-hop has been boring as hell lately. I'm talking EXTREMELY boring. I hate asher roth, ugh.
The only new album I've been really feeling is Diego Bernal's "For Corners". Really really solid stuff. I'll be uploading that to my blog, J, so check it out.
Peace

Lately I've become more interested in Hip Hop from France, so far I like Sinik, Seth Gueko, MC Solaar, Rohff, Rim'k and on.Any recommendations?
Just heard some of Snowgoons. German rap. Production is great.

Is there a difference between Rap, and Hip Hop? I keep seeing people mention some as Hip Hop, and others as Rap?I thought it was Hip Hop, and Rap when describing the actual rapping?
"rap is something you do, hip hop is something you live"- KRS-One
I don't know. Its music. I don't care for the labeling anymore.

Rap/Rapping is an element of Hip-Hop along with DJing, Breakdancing, and Graffiti. Each are considered Hip-Hop, rap is just the act of emceeing.
