Its really funny. Norrington can see right though her..He gives her that look again (like in the pic above) on the beach when she's looking at the compass and says "It doesn't show what I want most"..he's like "oh my god wake UP and smell the coffee"

Did anyone notice that the costume she wears looks a lot like Jack's? The hat, the coat ect. Except diff colors.

Yeh I been trying to say that but no one seems to care that I do lol.

She even has the same hat and a thing wrapped around her right hand like jacks. She wants to copy who she is most obssesed with.

Disney wouldnt have made her have a bandana like Jacks because it would be too obvious..so she has his captain style hat.

..Jack loses his hat, so its like he lost a big part of him, he loves his hat. ..then along comes Liz looking just like him..with a similar hat..a metaphor for the "missing part of him" maybe?

Also notice that he kept picking hats throught the film and was like.."nah..no..doesn't feel right" and thats also the time wher his compass was going crazy(pointing at Liz IMO)... Liz comes along looking like a double of him but with the missing hat.(dont mean Jacks exact hat)

Think about it though..why did they add a whole missing hat thing into the story?

The missing hat is a metaphor for the missing part of him..

The part in Tortuga where he didn't feel right trying on all the hats is a metaphor for not knowing what he truly wants yet, he's in a state of confusion he is LOOKING for what he really wants but cant find it. He leaves unsatisfied and without a hat.

Then hello hello... Liz turning up looking like him but with the missing hat symbolises that SHE is the missing part of him

notice he stops thinking about the hat after he meets her.

At the end Jack getting his hat back symbolises that he's finally found the missing part of himeslf "coincidently" when LIZ just came down to his level

This film is massivly based around little "coincidences" that have a much deeper meaning.

There really is meanings behind meanings in this movie lol.......your right, he can have a pile of 300 hats that look the same, and he could pick his out of all of them....because he knows his hat so well......
