Etrigan has been bathed in Hell-fire (routinely, since he is a demon). Morpheus imprisoned one of Hell's most powerful demons with a thought. Compared to Lucifer, the Endless, the Living Tribunal, and a good number of other characters, Godzilla simply is not impressive.

Superheros on the larger scale, example might be phoenix, that can destroy worlds, could defeat Godzilla. Some of the heros mentioned like Superman or Silver Surfer, I doubt could defeat him on a solo basis. As I mentioned before, if by example, superman flew as fast as he could and actually flew through Godzilla (say like a bullet) I dont think that would be enough. Godzilla does heal (fact) and Superman flying through him (even through the heart) would be the equivalent of a BB hole. Probably not enough. I really dont know though. Until somebody writes the book, nobody will know.

Godzilla got beat by ORDINARY PEOPLE attacking him with very ORDINARY weapons.

If Magneto could control metal strong enough to go through godzilla's skin, Kudos! Then that would mean magneto is stronger than all the other villains and heroes, because godzilla's skin can resist WAY over 500,000 pounds of pressure PER square inch.
And his G-cells heal him so quickly if Magneto didnt launch it into him at near the speed of light, as soon as it entered it would be projected back out as his cells healed the opening back.
