If you go to see it, then I'm assuming more people would sympathise your cause, if you end up LOATHING it.
At least you would have seen it, and therefore had EVERY RIGHT to criticise it.

Even though I know they've done some pretty awful things to the comic material, I just couldn't imagine myself NOT watching it. I MUST see it.
If you are a paying customer, people should by all means listen to your complaints. People get angry when people trash something they havent even seen, including myself.
You may even end up liking it heh heh.
If you don't like the Spidey movie then why on Earth come in here? the organics were awsome, there is no way an 18 year-old could make a material to support his weight, let-alone others. Also it's not called MANSPIDER it's called SPIDER-MAN, do you know how much you could get sued for saying that!? In my opinion I think Spider-Man was the best comic book movie of all time, I would definetly pay to see SPIDER-MAN 2 because I know its going to be an awsome movie.
Its funny how the person who posted before try to be a reasonable person, when he is one of the man spider gang of the superheroehype, one of the fascists and nazis who insults and post profanity photos when people dont like the man spider movie. He stills keeps the same old and crappy stuff in those forums because many of the moderators from those forums plays favourites and let that guy to do the same fascist stuff all the time.
And second of all, yes, the MAN SPIDER 2 movie will be released in a month. It will be curious to see if it will be as bad or even worse than the first man spider crap movie.

Heck, I thought Spiderman 1 delivered when I first saw it, it was only subsequent viewing did I notice the glaring mistakes.
So even if it does come out and I come here yelling "OMG Spiderman 2 is the best movie ever!" - it may not be necessarily what I'll be saying in a couple of years time.
I keep getting branded as some Spiderman hater. I never hated the movie Godammit, I really enjoyed it, but time and time again I end up siding with Bakerboy and Mr. Parker because they seem to be the only ones that can see the GLARINGLY OBVIOUS faults, whereas pretty much everyone else (save a few) seem to be completely blind on how to make a good adaptation of the comic.

If - as you say - in movie continuity they should have left PP with the brains to invent, overnight from scratch, web-shooters and super high tensile dissolving web fluid - then how would you have explained the fact that he went wrasslin to get money for a car rather than selling the patent and becoming super-rich overnight?

All I'm saying is you keep telling everyone that the movie sucked, what you could say is "I didn't like" instead f saying it was stupid, so your not offending anyone, and mods don't have favourites, they treat me the same as they treat eveyone else. They may just be a little more leniant towards me because I actually obey the rules.

The comics did very well for themselves by NOT explaining every little thing. They just WERE.

Man this is a looooooonnnnnng thread just like the "Man-Spider" This is all i'll add. I've been watching comic book characters become translated to the silver screen for sometime now. I remember back in the day when the live action Captain America came on. Boy was it lame but I couldn't take my eyes off of it. Why? Because someone was cool enough to try and turn a comic book hero into the living breathing real deal, what a concept. It was corny but I loved every minute of it.
Sorry but even with all of the technology Hollywood has today, I don't think they will ever portray a comic book character 100% dead on. They put my favorite Bat in a rubber suit but hey i'm flexible. I think Cyclops said it best in the movie when he had to tell Wolverine why they wore the black costumes. Some things just don't translate well to the big screen whether you like it or not.
Don't get me wrong, I can critique the hell out of a movie with the best of you but the way I see it, until I go to Hollywood and show them how it's done, my complaints are just alot of hot air.
We'd better be thankful that they're making these movies at all. Think of it this way, we could be stuck searching for nothing but fanfilms on the net if Hollywood gave our heroes the boot.

Forums like these are good places to vent frustration.
And like I've said millions of times (because for some reason people fail to actually READ what I have typed) I DON'T HATE THE MOVIES, I hate certain aspects. I am very thankful they are made at all, especially with Spiderman, which has taken forever to come out, but I will never back down and just grin and bear it, whenever something extremely crappy is thrown on the screen when I was expecting so much more, and I never set my expectations too high with Spiderman because as you all know, the last BIG comic book movie was Batman and Robin.
