here you can talk about any singer or band who you think is copying the other!
in my opinion:
Avril lavinge copying amy lee in her goth and farytale look!
if you have seen the new avril pics you will know!(amy designs her own clothes and sews them herself at times)
i hope im right (i didnt do much research on avril style,but saw a couple of pics )
britney spears:all her new videos are copies of other videos!

Well, there are a million bands that are just variations of Green Day... Not to say they're all bad, but most pop-punk bands today get their style from Green Day

how about every single heavy metal dickhead that's just a copy, but thinks their original. Jon Bon Jovi, Kid Rock, Sammy Hagar, Dave Lee Roth, Kid Rock, Sebastian Bach, Brent Michaels, Nikki Six, Tommy Lee, Axl Rose, Duff Mckagen (who surprisingly was in the Fartz and the Fastbacks, two punk legends!!!!!!!). hell, flush em all down the can.

hmm, other clones....Bush is a nirvana clone, PiL is a Flipper clone, the offspring blatantly ripoff TSOL, i could talk about this forever.

The lead bloke from The Hives (dunno his name) is completely ripping Mick Jagger off

I agree, they were a great band... but if you ever saw them on stage you'd see the resemblence... musically the most obviously Queen-like album was the one with "Love removal machine" on it.. can't remember the title, and I can't be bothered to go down and look... even the pic of them on the cover is Queen-like... especially when you look at early Queen (Bohemian Rhapsody and before...)

You know many of the artists mentioned in this thread aren't copying anyone at all. They've just been heavily influenced. Puddle Of Mudd, I saw someone say, they aren't copying Nirvana at all. They're just another grunge band. All grunge bands sound like Nirvana in some way. I'll take this moment to remind everyone that nothing in music is completely original. It all stems from something.

And as for The Hives singer comment, how can he be ripping off Jagger? He can't help what his voice sounds like. Ok so he may immitate his style slightly, but theres nothing wrong with taking inspiration from one of the greatest rock artists of all time.
