theres a difference between a single punch and a successive punch... a good annalogy is water... If I threw a pale of water over you it would hurt a bit... but it I took a power hose pipe to you.... boy would that hurt.... but your actually being hit by less water....

ya ur saying if scot left the beem go lol. but see the thing is if he did that wolverine would dodged it and if scot holds the beam for to long, wolverine would be that much closer to him. no cyclopes gunna keep blasting little burst and hopes he hits wolverine.

I mean this if scot shooting like u say and he misses he gunna be holding the power blast that has missed wolverine alowing wolverine to get to scot even faster. if scot shots little beams then he has a better chance of hitting wolverine but if he holds the beam for every shot it gunna waist energy and it gunna allow wolverine to get closer faster because he will have to dodge less.

I was trying to explain how shots from scotts eyes can do damage to someone who can take punches from the hulk...

If he hits him once... Wolverine will be temp in one place... he will then be hit by a following hits....

see he wont thou he ahs shown that he can take hits like that and not slow and know enough if he gets hit just to jump right away which will make scot miss. also danager room is lazer going off ever wear and missle and such and wolveriens is the most dangerous of all just thinik about all the shit flaying around the danger room when he in it scots blast will be quite easy for him to dodge and take with out slowing.

they did fight, it was off panel. first, cyke blasts him out the window. then, logan snikts and cyke says "that healing factor's about to come in reeeeeeeall handy". note that wolverine is not smoking in this panel.

then wolverine is smoking and being chastised for fighting in front of the students.

what do you want to bet a fight happened in between there?

* Cyke will never miss blasting Logan, that's for sure... and i'm pretty sure, Cyke's blasts are much faster than Logan "dodging" them...

Wolverine. He takes the first hit and it sends him into the wall of a rock.
Then he's braced. Cyke keeps firing but now Wolverine uses his arms and claws to deflect the blast.
Cyke is not at all like Havok who's doesn't exhaust his power.
Cyke has a limited amount of force blast that he can use before he runs empty. It takes him from half an hour to 1 hour to recharge.

u can't use off panel fights it no gunna happen and wolverine was smoking from that first shot by the way. any ways wolverien ahs and can dodge scots blast rather easiliy.

a. cyke does not run out of power in any meaningful period of time. it's constantly stated that the dimension his energy comes from is near-limitless.
