this all depends on the enviorment. if it was in a place with bunkers and trees, wolverine could use stealth to get in close, but on a flat plain, its much more difficult.

cyclops's optic blasts are ideal for long range attacks. all he has to do is spot wolverine and it is a direct hit. of course, if wolverine was prepared for the blow, his adamantium claws could absorb some of the blast.

another factor is that when wolverine is beserk, human movements are slow to him. even bullets go in slow motion when he is on rampage(im not making this up. it happened in the weapon x novel). and because cyclops has only regular human senses, wolverine has a good chance of dodging the optic blasts(barely). one duck and slash would incapacitate Scott.

the only way wolverine would be able to win is that he would have to be in a feral state and within around 30 feet from cyclops. any farther and the fight would become a draw, because of wolverines healing ability. his ability to withstand heat was put to the test in the weapon x novel. a great vat of burning lava and radiation poured directly on logan. each time molecules were incinerated and replaced over and over in a matter of seconds. "his skin and muscle seemed to flicker in and out of existence." all that radiation should have killed him 10 times over.

so basically its either wolverine wins, or its a tie.

umm... really well constructed post (even though i disagree 😛)

but... cyclops' blasts give off no heat whatsoever...

You must be joking....

Tell me they haven't overpowered Wolverine to this.

Please.

If this is true, I refuse to read Wolverine ever again.

God in Heaven.... 🙁

not even...... a german guy from wwII comments on how they would set up firing squads daily to shoot the hairy little man, they shoot him gas him, repeatidly behead him, and incinerate him.. each week he just comes back....

there is no way wolverine could beat cyke unless they start 5 feet from each other................

I thought he was someone else...

Wolverine #32 Written by Mark Millar Penciled by Kaare Andrews Cover by Kaare Andrews "PRISONER NUMBER ZERO" Mark Millar's epic 13-issue run draws to a close, but not before we bring him back for a spectacular encore, joined by Kaare Andrews (Eisner-Award nominated for his jaw-dropping INCREDIBLE HULK covers). This special 13th issue of Millar's WOLVERINE will be unlike anything you've seen from him before. A ghost story in the tradition of CREEPY and EERIE, this standalone issue is set in a World War II concentration camp and stars a feral character who looks like Wolverine, acts like Wolverine...but who is he really? 32 PGS./PARENTAL ADVISORY 2.50

Well, if he is Wolverine...Mark Millar should do some research...

In his first appearence, a glancing blow from Hulk knocked him out...
😕

I doubt that Wolverine has any chance of dodging the blasts. They basically move LOT faster then Wolverine is capable of dodging.

I'm the longest standing member of these forums, and you think that I don't have anything intelligent to contrubute to this discussion?

😂

More then you have.

Once more, I post this picture:

in his first appearance he was just a normal guy with claws on his gloves... 😕

Was he?

Ok.

But I'm not still sure if that guy IS Wolverine.

yeah he was... and it's also of note that hulk had already thrown wolverine to the ground with "earth shattering" force.. or something like that...

meh...

the guy looks like wolverine, he's geographically in the correct place for wolverine to be during the time, he has a healing factor, and the ENTIRE issue is about him... I'm gonna have to say it's him...

But would they have mentioned this if he really was Wolverine?

" a feral character who looks like Wolverine, acts like Wolverine...but who is he really?"

* that's absurd, man. if Logan goes berserk, and Cyke's movement will be slow for him, which means Logan is extremely fast in a berserker state. Cyke's movement maybe slowed due to Logan's berserker state but i doubt if Cyke's blast will slow down. picture this: the moment Cyke's eyes open, his beams blast out. Cyke's blast will never slow down even if Logan is in a berserker state.

* the difference between the two is: Cyke never fights to death, but if he does, he'll just continue to blast Logan to oblivion. and, also Logan as always, fights recklessly (that's why i'm beginning to doubt his 7-fighting ability level). the fact that Cyke can blast Logan continually spells W-I-N for Cyke.

* about the Cyke-Storm leadership duel: eventhough Storm had no powers then, all Storm did was take Cyke's visor off his eyes. Storm did not defeat Cyke, they just stopped the fight. they just presumed that Storm won because she had taken Cyke's visor... and not to mention, Cyke was mentally bothered at that time, being a father and a husband to Madelyne Pryor. it all ends here - for Storm, a visorless Cyke is harmless, but for Cyke, a visorless Cyke means Storm goes abroad without passport.

* Cyke deals with this problem of his, and trains himself. Cyke can now fight even when his eyes are closed.

* about the Logan-Havok fight: although Cyke and Havok's powers cancel each other out, that does not mean that their powers are equal. their powers cancel each other out because they are blood brothers. still, Cyke will always and forever be, better than Alex. Alex is so stupid enough to be defeated by Logan.

* the thing that messes this fight is the fact that Logan is more popular and more well-loved by many people. i still can't believe this mentality. a freak with an indestructible claws and skeleton, got keen senses, got healing factor, horribly ugly, screwed many Marvel babes, and loved by readers... that's plain stupid.

* Cyke, as strict as his personality, never lets his guard down. while Logan solely depends on his animalistic senses. so in a no preparation fight, Logan will still lose but not killed, because again, Cyke never fights to death.

* do not brag about Logan able to withstand Cyke's direct blast, because that's plain preposterous. Cyke can punch a hole through a mountain, even cracked Onslaught's armour in one point. so, in a Cyke-Logan fight, there won't be any snikt's, rather only zark's, zakt's, and vam's for a smokin' Canadian burger.

* in a fight in the dark, Logan gets the upper hand, of course. but give Cyke a night vision visor, and Logan will again lose. no matter what instance, Logan will lose. the old geezer, the uncircumcised freak will always lose. Wolverine is just overrated, and Cyke's is very much underrated... that's it. arguing by logic and not by popularity spells L-O-S-E for Logan.

Cyclops. Unless they're inside a 5' x 5' x 5' cube.

it was simply a small two sentence preview for the book... just trying to get readers intrigued... the sad part is, this standalone comic is better than the last entire year of wolverine enemy of the state/agent of shield run.. for it being miller, and him boasting how it was going to be the epic and difining wolverine arch I'm sorely not impressed in the least....

anywho... why would it be in the comic if it wasn't wolverine?

A clone?

But if Wolverine had such uber healing factor during WWII, what happened to him at modern ages? Did something downgrade it?

Anyway, I doubt he is healing from this:

Cyclops miscalculates how much optic blast he needs, wolverine runs through the blast and guts him.

😂

Cyclops...miscalculating... 😱

😆 😂

That's the same if Wolverine would be punctured by needle and he would say "Ouch."
