Silver Surfer vs Thor

ok....... you said ask anybody, why don't you read the issues. i already told you what surfer said. would you like the quotes again?? he admits thor is more powerful, and he says thor cannot stand up to the wrath of the silver surfer..... which he is easily proven wrong. even classic thor had access to the godforce blast, which caused galactus to flee (whom is hordes of power above surfer) so how exactly would surfer stand up to that my friend?? can't you just admit for once when you are wrong??

I don't CARE about the issues. I don't CARE about what he said in ONE COMIC BOOK.

YOU were one of the SAME people on here crying about how VENOM stood up to Juggernaut's HARDEST PUNCHES in their mini-series, RIGHT?

Oh now you don't remember? Although Juggernaut has been CONSISTENTLY portrayed as being MORE powerful than Venom, Venom sat there and withstood a BEATING by Juggernaut - you know, Juggernaut who "punches through dimensional barriers."

Silver Surfer is CONSISTENTLY portrayed as being MORE powerful than CLASSIC THOR. CONSISTENTLY.

I don't know about YOU, but I have almost Walt Simonson's entire run of Thor. I am QUITE familiar with the character, and I KNOW that Silver Surfer is FAR more powerful than THOR.

Who CARES if his GEB caused Galactus to flee? Galactus ran from Rachel as PHOENIX. He ran from DARK PHOENIX. He ran from the FANTASTIC FOUR.

but what you are saying is rather mute..... it doesn't validate your arguement that surfer is more powerful. what makes you think that he is?? just because you have alot of thor comics??? i'm not sure where you are drawing your conclusions from. again..... where he admitted thor was more powerful, and where thor had nearly rendered him unconscious with a single blow were 2 separate comics. not just 1 as you have stated. in every confrontation it is clear that thor is more powerful. yet you still just say things like " i have this" or " silver surfer is more powerful consistantly" yet you don't provide any information with it. just your OPINION.

I can vouch that more often than not, regardless of who I think would win this battle (Note that I said Surfer would win a few, but Thor the majority), Surfer is more often than not portrayed as Thor's superior.

can anybody back up thier claims (give proof) of why they think surfer would win this battle??? when has surfer -EVER- proven equal to thor, let alone his superior???? can anybody give me an answer on this one?? cause more often than not THOR has proven SUPERIOR to SILVER SURFER.

it seems to me they are almost equal, but surfer wins again.

Fighting habilities:

thor wins in this one, surfer was a scientis not a warrior, although surfer is improving as fighter, thor is far superior.

Healing factor:

altough thor has the ability to heal faster, surfer can heal others, and heal himself, with Unearthly ability.

and what about the rest of the powers, thor has mjolnir and thanks to that he don´t get his ass kicked in 5 secondes (exagerating), but surfer can re-arrange molecules ( Reconstitute matter to his own desires),
The Surfer has the power to channel cosmic radiation into his body and transform it into useful forms, including sustenance and energy for his other powers, Telepathy, the ability to emit blasts of Unearthly intensity from his hands, and i could go on and on.

You don't know what you are talking about. PERIOD. Thor is NOT more powerful than Silver Surfer - that is why we (well those of us who KNOW a thing or two about comics) categorize characters as COSMICS (Silver Surfer, Phoenix, Thanos, yadda yadda).

Juggernaut Has some sort of regenerative capabilities. it's obvious you are basing your juggernaut vs. threads on old cartoons or something. you aren't expected to believe anything about juggernaut vs. venom, except for that venom got pummeled in the process. eddie brock would have been dead, if it hadn't been for merging with the liquid mercury.

Venom did beat the shit out of juggernaut, but that was because juggernaut was operating lower than normal, and that juggernaut was in venoms comic... of course venom is gonna be beating him up. But juggernaut did knock him up and down the road... Much as I hate to say so... I love venom, and juggernaut, its hard to say bad things about either of them in that comic.

Being an open forum, I'll field this also. I said Thor would win a majority. If they had 10 fights Surfer would win about 3-4. Coz he can beat Thor. Thor is stronger, but Surfer CAN beat him and HAS. Whether he would do it more than Thor, I doubt. But he is capable of coming out on top. Dragon made a great point about Venom winning in his own comic. Surfer has won in his own comic and so has Thor. So we go back and forth.

But honestly, we really gotta stop this juggernaut VS hulk crap. Honestly, this one goes to the cosmos, a god VS a cosmically intuned warrior... No one is gonna come out a winner. Cant you see it people?

That's the problem with these vs-threads : when your fighters are too equal (Surfer-Thor/Juggernaut-Hulk), you can expect these endless discussions...

That is exactly my point though. People claim something as fact, another gets pissed off and says it's not and claims another fact that also isn't true. It gets so bad that no one can spot the real facts. I think the facts and history weigh heavily in Hulks favour against Juggernaut but with Surfer/Thor, as I said I think it's a matter of different writers, different comics, different timelines/powers/back ups etc.

no, i said he would win 1) because he already DID and 2) because surfer has admitted it.

back to venom vs juggernaut...... have you even read the 3 part mini series?? you are only strengthening my arguement by bringing this up. juggernaut DID beat the crap out of venom, and had it not been for eddie brock merging with the living mercury brock would have died. he pummeled his ass in that comic.
