Perfection??? Should have seen this coming?? Truth as much as the tale of Blader?? What??
Obviously, there is no point in discussing this topic with a non-believer expecially since we're not supposed to discuss religion, so I rest my case also.

Jury Copeland>"But if they only read the Bible... there it says and describes that the world is ROUND"
where, cause the original scriptures doesnt say a thing about the shape of the world. It was the christians of the middle ages that believed the world was flat. Vikings never believed it to be flat and a lot of scholars of the 1500 century didnt believe that either. Christoffer Columbus was bold enough to challenge the flatliners
"That He sits over the round earth." (Isaiah 40:22)

Jury Copeland>”Well, the Bible has said that with the Lord the day is as a thousand years and/or a year is as a thousand days.”
And? And where does it say that? How are we supposed to know when a day is 1000 years, and or a year no longer is 364 days but 1000? (Kinda odd accounting being kept there)? Doesn’t it just show the Bible is weak, when any time given is up for interpretation?
And Adam dind’t live fro 1000 years. He lived for 930, which is NOT 1000.

✅ Yeah, you're right. 🙄 😎
Truth as much as the tale of Blader?? WhatBalder!!!!!!!!!!!!! a God from the Norse mythology
Because of modern technology anyone enables to see for himself that the earth is round. But this fact was already recorded in the bible about 2,200 years before Magellan's voyageFirst of all they didnt have too much modern technology in the middle ages and it was the christian world that believed the world was flat. Kind of weird they missed out on that part in their own bible then, huh?
Shaber> But if that part of the Bible is mistranslated, how is anyone supposed to tell correct translations from faulty translations?
RoguePw25> “Obviously, there is no point in discussing this topic with a non-believer expecially since we're not supposed to discuss religion, so I rest my case also.”
Oh… how utterly convinient for you, huh? When you can’t reply there is ”no point”? You can’t rest your case, as you haven’t MADE any.
Jury Copeland> So we’re supposed to take Isiah literally then? The book where God will make every man kill his brother and then force him to eat "the flesh of his own arm." Isiah 9:19-20 ???
That the Earth was round was discovered by the Ancient Greeks. And how do you know it was recorded in the Bible exactly 2200 years before Magellan? If it says in the Bible that the Earth is round, why did God allow his church to prosecute astronomers in the middle-ages who claimed the Earth had that exact shape?
And you’re still refusing to answer the rest of my questions: How are we supposed to know when a day is 1000 years, and/or a year no longer is 364 days but 1000? (Kinda odd accounting being kept there)? Doesn’t it just show the Bible is weak, when any time given is up for interpretation?

” ...because you poorly mean LIGHT literally.” So what else can light be? How can God separate light and darkness if there is no light-giving objects? Or are we again heading towards a ”God REALLY means…”??
” What was wrong with somebody is that they understand the Bible literally... they don't have the wisdom from God... they will never ever understand HIS words.
That's all.”
Oh, but you DO?
”Simple... because God Himself is the LIGHT.
I know no matter how I said it, you couldn't understand that because you never know who GOD is.” But you DO?
Genesis: "And God said, Let there be light: and there was light." So if God was the light, why did he have to CREATE it??????
And what son( singular)?
Genesis 6:2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
6:3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
120 years? I don't know many people how live that long.
"But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare.”
How can the day of the Lord come like a thief it it takes 1000 years? A very slow thief there, don’t you think? And WHEN will the heavens disappear with a roar??

But why would an omnipitant god care about what humans believe. If he is so omnipitant, then it would be impossible for humans to fully understand him anyway. I mean, I wouldn't mind if an ant believed in something that was not true, so why would an omnipitant god care about what humans believe??

I'm not even going to respond to this comment. Like I said, this is NOT the Bible thread.
When you can’t reply there is ”no point”? You can’t rest your case, as you haven’t MADE any.
I can say the same to you, hun, but like I said, I'm not even going to go there with you. 🙄
Eleveninches> If said omnipotent God doesn't care about us, why then destroy cities, flood the world, and insist we can't hae other gods? It's either or. He can't have it both ways. Or ONLY on Sundays, or ONLY when it suits fundamentalists...
RoguePw25> 😆 You're KILLING me... Really, you are.
You can't say the same to me as I HAVE made my case. As yerssort points out: If you're not going to go "there" my do you take up space saying as much?
Ay, I overlooked Corlindels little comment...
Corlindel> So... the truth is disgusting now?
It's interesting to see that you cannot refute any of my points, and instead turns to personal attacks. You do know that you've already lost... don't you? 😉
Anti-religious? 😆 So if I, say, should critisize astrology, then I'm anti-astrologist? If I critisize George W. Bush then I'm anti-American? If I critisize Berlusconi I'm anti-Italian???
You need to realise, that
a) you have to counter the criticism, not the person making the critique to show your opponent has made a mistake,
b) not doing so is fundamentalist.
Corlindel> No? No to what? That the truth is disguting, that you must counter the critique not the person making it? Or "no" I'm not anti-Italian if I critizise Berlusconi??
And what else can I (or anyone else) do but read what is being written? It's not my job to "Feel" the truth of the words. It's the authors job to be precise and to the point.
So once again you're wrong: Unless, of course, you mean anything written by any person has as much impact as the Bible???
You know "my" truth before I start to walk??
No you do not 😆

😐
Religion is not science and cannot be explained as it.
As a logical and racional explanation cannot explain emotional feelings in your private life. No mather you know that should be done, emotions can make you forget what is wrong and what is right.
What is really stupid here, is that I am agnostic. And as you I dont believe in what prophets say, no mather what they say or who they are - unless I learn something with it. It is not necessary to think a lot to know that. So, I dont see why so many talk about something and laughs about people convictions as I am not laughing about yours no mather what they are and if they are true ot not.
Yous are not able to do that. But you care about you and I care about me.
So keep arguing about others like F. , and enjoy yourself. 😐
And Yes I am! 🙂 But if you start to walk before 1978, I must give you my apologizes 😛
