Yes he was, since he died as Anakin, not Vader. He redeemed himself by killing the Emperor.

Anyways... I'd say Donnie Darko

Terminator 2: Judgement Day

majour need of spoilers here 😐

and

Spoiler:
Donnie Darko is really sad, Moulin Rouge I guess, Matrix Revo

Pretty sure thats it, but without the outcome they have, the movies wouldn't be the same ❌

Spoiler:
but it's sad in a wierd, creepy, cool kinda way...

why would you spoiler that 😛

Hmmm... I can't think of another one. So i'll go with Gladiator, not that I like the movie much

Katsumoto from the Last Samurai 🙁

Leon in the Professional 🙁

people spoilers 😛

great choices, but for some reason when heros die in movies they make them alot more powerful in a way

and i do like Ken Watanabe's death, very honorable, and touching

I can't count Jean in X2 - because as we (the fans of the comics anyway) all know, she becomes the Phoenix and isn't dead at all. In fact, you could say she is reborn. (you may have noticed a Phoenix shape in the water at the end of X2).

Vader is a hero. Well, Anakin is anyway, he saves his son from the Emperor and later dies from his injuries. What an awesome death.

I'd go with Terminator 2 - simply because I was around 7 years old when I first saw it, and when he gets lowered into the steel, I had a tear in my eye and was like "noooooooooooooooo!" - it was great how I could relate to John Conner like that, and understand the characters pain - what an awesome movie.

and Event Horizon. He makes the ultimate sacrifice in the end.

I love that movie 😄

I would have to say the following
Lord of the rings
Braveheart
Last Samurai
Passion of the Christ

Brave Heart followed closely by Gladiator
