The Dark Tavern

Tela gently carressed his cheek.

Yue ran after Sakura.

Vash had a feeling Sakura and Yue would soon be arriving. Vash smiled at Tela, wanting not to show how sick he was. He was so glad that she was with him. If she wasn't he would've probably lost hope already.

"Come on, Sakura urged, as they entered the village. "Now, we should ask some one if they have a healer," she said, heading off towards a group of villagers.

Yue nodded. He followed her. "Excuse me." he told the group of villagers. "Do you all have a healer here?"

Tela hugged Vash gently.

"Thanks... For well sticking up with me..." whispered Vash into Tela's ear.

Cyke came up to Yue and Sakura. "Some vilagers told me there's a healer in that hut..." said Cyke pointing to a strange looking hut.

Tela smiled. "You'd do the same for me." she whispers back.

Yue nodded and grabbing Sakura's hand led the two towards the hut. He knocked on the door.

Cyke held his laugh when a man, wearing weird uniforms, opened the door. "Yes?" he asked.

Vash smiled back as he gently put his head on her shoudler.

Tela smiled down at Vash. Her angel.

Yue took a deep breath. "Are you th healer, sir?"

"Yes... You can call me Newton..." answered the Healer.

Vash snuggeled closer to Tela.

Tela smiled and held Vash close.

Yue nodded. "We need your help desperately, but I think it would be better if we talked inside."

Newton nodded back and led them inside the house, into the living room.

Vash closed his eyes, and began to think.

Tela kissed the top of Vash's head.

Once they were inside, You told Newton about Vash and Tela's problems.

"I see... Can you lead me to them?" asked Newton standing up.

Yue nodded. "Of coarse, if you'll heal them." he heads towards the door.

Newton wasn't sure... When they arrived to Vash and Tela, Vash took his head of Tela' shoulder to look at Newton. Newton told Vash he was the healer and began to examine him. "This one is easy... I can give me a herb I discovered not a long time ago, it'l heal him in no time... However the other one... The elven woman, I can't heal her... The only thing I could do is give you a recipe and ingredients for a simple potion which could prevent her from turning to a werewolve at full moons..." said Newton.

"Well, won't the heal her or would she transform another time?" Yue said worried.

Newton gave YUe a worried look. "I am sorry... But a Lycan's bite is much more then I could ever heal... It would only prevent her to transform at that time..." said Newton.

Vash gulped. "Comeone there must be something you can do!" said Vash

"I am sorry... I can't..." said Newton as he walked off back to the village leaving the herbs and the ingredients.

Tela began to silently sob. she couldn't believe this.

Vash sighed. He didn't want this to happen. He didn't want it to get to a pitful situation to have to ask Merlin for help... "We'll have to travel far east to Merlin's castle. He is the best wizard in the universe... He must know how to cure Tela..." said Vash.
