Both genders suck balls. Well, I guess girls do that a bit more, but both genders are crappy.

Backfire is right, though. There are as many crappy men as there are crappy women, should we actually sit down and count them.

So why this continuos gender-battle? (Not a rhetorical question)

Cause each gender likes to blame the other 😖

And by doing so, letting them know they're of the opposite sex. As I said earlier on in this thread, I believe it's a strange kind of flirt and a way to test each other's strengths and weknesses.

I agree with Line (yay, go me) ... it's to check how far some will go and such

But people of the same gender also has strength and weaknesses. Why do we not test them in the same manner?
Someone mentioned hormones. Maybe it's really simple. I can get to know some guy, and it's all fine, until my mind/body decides to get attracted to or fall in love with said guy. Without asking ME that is! 🙂
Now suddenly things are very complicated.
That never happens with people of the same gender (exceptions of course exist, just follow the general idea).
When I'm with girls/women I'm safe from those complications. When I'm in mixed or male company I can never know when lightening will strike.
Is it then - ultimately - a defence mechanism? 😉

Yes, we all have strengths and weaknesses, but as we're (rarely) looking for a partner from our own sex, we don't need to test them in this way. We test them in a less gender-orientated way.

I agree it might be a defence mechanism. But still a gender-related and thus a possibly semi-flirtatious one.

we just test people of the same sex in a different way:

as kids in example, the (male) kids wrestle with eachother

well female kids play dolls
