They didn't lose to Nate Grey he teleported them off the planet and he beat Tundra in a way that would have destroyed Canada. When Guardian shot him with a E-M blast it ripped apart the country side. Oh hell here,

That wasn't even full powered Tundra, so why would X-Man blast him with energy not have the same effect it did when Guardian did the same thing?
If tundra was skyfather he should of beaten Nate with ease, Thanos on the astral plane(note thanos is even weaker here) managed to beat Nate fairly easily, but tundra a 'skyfather' wasn't able to put up much resistance. Silver surfer and beta ray bill have destroyed a planet does that make them skyfathers?
Alpha flight beat him by erosion.....rest my case.

It's called jobbbing as Tundra has been shown to reduced to rubble and reformed and has taken enrgy blasts and nearly destroyed Canada but not this time? and as stated it takes awhile for Tundra to grow to his full power entering this realm. Plus that story was filled with continuity errors as Kolomaq isn't in the Realm of the Beasts so he couldn't have traveled with Somon. Kolomaq and Somon didn't even do anything to Nate they just watched them and then they sent them off the planet. They were stated countless times they were skyfather, so them jobbing doesn't mean they are?...hmmm...
As he wasn't at full power as stated. Good lord.

They have never lost, all the times they faced Alpha Flight they were sent back to the Realm of the Great Beasts. No one has defeated them and even Shaman stated anything he would do would merely just be stopped gaps at best and had no hope of defeating them.

Losing isn't only being knocked out, its also BFR, which they come under, but that's my interpretation of it.

Being teleported back to your prison that has been theirs for millions of years is a lot different than knocking them out. You can't kill them, the physically weakest Great Beast Somon has had his neck broken and heart ripped out but he constantly reappears. Even Tanaraq defeated Zarathos, Morbius, Dr.Doom, Exiles, and Kulan Gath with ease.

They use to rule Earth until the Gods of the Arctic banished them to the Realm of the Great Beasts, which Somon manipulated into his own vision which was once like Earth. Somon has been shown to do a physhic death killing multiple people instantly, they definetly have the feats. Somon did this also to Talisman (Dr.Strange mystic), Aurora and Northstar

Tanaraq easily destroyed all his oppoents no one even gave him a challenge. "clearly you know nothing of the Great Beasts, else you would realise the folly of testing a god." When the Great Beasts appeared the second time Alpha Flight knew they were screwed and were about to die because they were just to powerful. For them to say that with their feats shows the Great Beasts are insanly strong.
He was defeated, because a human host summoned him and he wasn't at full strength. Not many people could simply do what they did as he was becoming more part of the land. The longer he is in this realm he would have become all the land on the planet and control all the animals, which was stated.
Hmmm ok, still hasn't convinced me much, but I give somon the benefit of the doubt with that feat, he is the most powerful out of the great beasts and does seem to be skyfather.

I want to comment on this post. Magneto basically acts out of desperation, while Doom acts out of power. Other than their powers, which I'll add that it is arguable who's are more effective, Doom beats Magneto in every single way. And yes, I have heard that his armor is something that Magneto can not control. Realize that Doom, without prep, is more prepared than Magneto. Doom is always on the top of his game, and welcomes fights so he can establish his dominance. Magneto, on the other hand, only fights because he believes it's his last resort......
