ooc: Lurik, watch the multiple posts in a row. Say everything you need to say in one post and leave it alone.
ic: Gonzo took careful aim with his MA5B and fired two short bursts of three, and watched the remaining Grunts scatter. The Elite and Jackals had gone down already. He took a quick glance next to him to see Kelly bleeding heavily from his wound but still firing at the enemy.
"Goddammit Kelly, what'd I tell you about that hip? If the Covies don't get you you'll bleed to death! Now, I'm warning you, this might hurt a bit..." Gonzo yanked off the blood-soaked bandage, and it came away with bits of skin that had congealed along with the drying blood. He pushed his hand down on the wound to help contain the bleeding. He turned around to grab another bandage from his satchel, but stopped when he saw the glowing green end of a plasma pistol, held by a snickering Grunt.
Gonzo's hand moved slowly down to his sidearm holster for his pistol, but then he realized he had given the weapon to Halloway. "Madre de dios," he muttered, just before the Grunt's head exploded. He turned back to Kelly to see the smoking end of his weapon. "Thanks, compadre. Hold on a sec..." He reached down and pulled a grenade from his bandolier. He yanked out the pin, counted to three, and tossed it towards the remaining Grunts, but through the smoke couldn't see how many he hit.
"Ah god" Kelly grunted "Sorry corp, but these bastards aren't giving us a rest are they?"
He reloaded Sirus' pistol he had only used 2 clips but with what they had and the rate that the other's were recklessly using there ammunition Kelly knew they'd soon be resorting to there knives.
"Corp, we're gonna have to stop all this wasted ammunition, i doubt there's a convenient armoury anywhere nearby"
-Sirus looked around to find where the last grunt was. He rubbed his brow with his t-shirt sleeve and squinted his eyes. As he walked around the warthog he saw a glimps of a grunt but it had dissapeared into the bushes. He walked to where his comrades where "Do you guys think you can hotwire that warthog...By the looks of it. It seems intact." Sirus asked his voice was quiet but loud enough for them to hear. He didn't want the grunt to know where they were.-
O'Conner ran over to the warthog, throwing his rifle into the back, just below the gun. He fiddled with the wires a moment, and the Warthog let out a reassuring rumble,
"Years behind enemy lines. Teaches you to be self-sufficient, you'll find. Sometimes we needed to steal our own veichles, when a commander wasn't co-operating," he jumped into the driver's seat, putting it in gear, "Coming?"
Presuming Sirius is also in...
O'Conner slammed down on the gas, smashing aside the car he ahd been using for cover. He drove quickly back to the wounded site, which luckily the route was not too cluttered with obstacles. Hearing the sound of gunfire he accelerated evern faster, smashing over a small wall behind the attackers.
Gonzo finished off the rest of his clip, only the first one he had used. He took down one of the remaing Grunts and the rest dove for cover. The two sides had reached a stalemate. At least 3 Grunts remained (just pulled a random number, don't know how many we killed), but they were now hiding behind whatever cover they could find.
"Hold your fire! Kelly's right, we gotta conserve ammo, so keep those itchy trigger fingers in check, and that means you, John," he ordered, glaring at the soldiers who were wasting what precious little ammo they had. "Wait until you get a clear shot. Otherwise, keep your heads low and your eyes downrange." The sound of a motor could be heard approaching, and it wasn't Covenant.
Still holding the dead Grunt Mendoza charges into the group of grunts swatting at them with his Plasma Rifle. He smashes one in the nose, sending it reeling to the ground. He gets another in the methaine tank, sending to the ground grasping for air. He's then stopped dead in his tracks as plasma fire eats away at his Grunt shield, he dives behind a piece of debris from the rocket explotions.
"A little help down here would be nice!"
