"Oh my gawd...." She fell silent as she stood rigid and looked out over the horizon. Yet another friend fallen. And one less Spartan. She kept a serious face, and her eyes didn;t even show the slightest bit of sorrow. "Sir. Im so sorry. We're all thats left now."

"Yes sir." She turned and walked back up to the cliffs edge. The young spartan sat cross legged and leaned against the large boulder. She would sleep outside. She felt more at home out here. Now maybe she would have a chance to just think. Sometimes she wondered why she was chosen to have lived. Out of all the other Spartans who were kidnapped at such a young age to be trained for this. Why was she the only one alive?

*The Chief stayed at his rock, and pulled off his helmet to wipe away the tears. He cryed for a long time, wishing his brother were here*

Raevynn could not sleep as she looked at the starts. Her heard was heavy with the loss of Dennis. Despite this, the Spartan did not cry. She had never cryed. Not even the day they took her in the dead of night and brought her into this whole mess.

*Chief wiped his eyes, put his helmet on, and soon fell asleep*

Just when she thought she might fall asleep, then sun started to rise. "No sense in sleeping now..." she mumbled to herself.

*Dennis slowly woke, his heart beating at a normal rate. His heart was only stunned, but was in bad condition*

She stretched her long sore legs and got to her feet. She would go scout the area before the others woke up. She was always the one with this job, and she had grown used to it, infact she enjoyed it.

*Dennis's heart was bruised, and he tried to get up*

Raevynn was now well away from the camp. She walked down a beaten old trail, her sniper rifle in hand. She heard something snap in the bushes to her right, and she crouched down, hidden in some tall grass as she pointed her rifle in the direction. A small bird flew into the air in alarm. She stood up. Her sharp hearing picked up everything, and false alarms like that got annoying after a while

Raevynn heard something that sounded strangly human. She ran towards it, and found herself standing at a battle feild. There were a few dead marines and many covenant scattered everywhere. She took the time to walk over to one marine and rip off his dogtag. It read: Ben M. Loyola. She ran her hand down his face, closing his eyes. "Rest in peace soldier. She saluted him, then heard the sound again. It was close. One of these guys was still alive.

*Dennis looked around and noticed dead marines. He winced in pain*

Raeavynn heard it again, this time she saw the body it was coming from. She ran to it and rolled it over onto its back. She nearly fainted when she saw that it Dennis. He was suposed to be dead. "Dennis! Dennis, can you hear me!?" She waved her hand in front of his face.

She grabbed his arm and put it around her neck. She then pulled him up and over her shoulder. He was alot heavier than her, but she had to get him back to the camp and fast. Raevynn started making her way back to the others, by now the sun had nearly risen all the way.
