"Lucky bastard." He said. "I Haven't seen someone survive a plasma to the head since I joined." Kiyo walks off to the bunk tents. He slowly nods off, and dreams about a covenant assault on the main camp. He sees a covenant sniper aiming at something but he can't make it out, he then sees a spartan in armor with its helmet off giving orders to a few marines....Rae!?. He suddenly wakes up and walks to Rae's quarters."Rae!" He whispered. " Rae,I need to talk to you!"
-Can I join? Pm me with the word delete and a small reason, please if i shouldn't-
Mendez walked down a hall, a scar on the left face where a needler shot came close to killing him. He winces on every left step unnoticebly, where a plasma burn chared his skin beyond recognition. His green fatigues shwish slightly as he walks around, his battle armor pocked with signs of battle, a clip jingles lightly from the side. His helmet under his arm, he salutes to the tent officials.
"Sir, I was only doing my duty, you can't condemn a marine for that." PFC Mendez argued.
"I can still yell at you for killing twenty of my marines dammit!" The officer yelled and dismissed Mendez.
Mendez had just returned from a botched mission where his entire platoon minus two people survived; himself and a seriously wounded friend.
[]FINALY! Someone joins. No by all means continue, and try and interact with some of the others so that we can get this thing going[]
The Spartan looked out her window. The sun was due to rise soon, and she would never get back to sleep. "Just get some rest." she said to soldier before slinging her sniper across her back and leaving the tent. She wandered out past the med tent. She stared at it and felt a slight pinge of sorrow for all the wounded. Why them?
Mendez walked sluggishly back toward his barracks, he unslung the rifle and hung it from the bunk post. He climbed into the lower bunk, but didn't go to sleep, it would be a long time before he ever slept again...
Mendez finally dozed off, but he slept restlessly, his dreams invaded by shadowy figures digging away at his soul. His dreams were filled with charging grunts, defending jackals, and the ever deadly, multi jawed face of an elite, breathing against him, as it swept its sword, cutting Mendez's best friend in half, he ran from it, leaving his dead friend behind to be consumed in the after battle carnage that the covenant left behind them. He hoped that he too would not find the same kind of fate, but knew that it was a too real possibility.
Raevynn had received no orders, and without orders, she had nothing to do. She wandered off towards the edge of the cliff, where she sat down on a large rock and propped her head up with her hand. As she watched the sky she thought about her past. Full of death and destruction. Taken from her home in the dead of night at a young age and forced to train in the brutal task of becoming a spartan. Sometimes she just couldn't help but wonder why she was the only one of her kind left. The SpartanIII's should have been a sucess, but now they were only a memory now.
Mendez awakes suddenly, a cold sweat drenching him from head to toe. The barracks was eerily quite, even for the dead of night, as though everyone had slept, even the insects.
Mendez groggily walked out of the barracks, being careful not to wake anyone. He walks toward a ledge until he sees another, a shadowy figure sitting on a rock. Mendez, being only a PFC, didn't know their rank, so he started to walk off the other way.
(yea, just try to make post a little longer, and give a brief description of your character in your next post)
Mendez walked away sullenly. He stops at the other side of the base and sits on the edge, unbeknownest of the not so far away spartan, he sighs and checks his pistol, loaded but on safety until his finger print is verified on the microcomputer inside the weapon.
Raevynn perks up and is brought back to reality by a noise not too far off. Her Enhanced eye sight allows her to see cleary in the dark where most ordniary humans cant. The marine from earlier is sitting down with a pistol. She raises to her feet, her Mark7 battle armor making no noise at all as she starts to walk towards him. Once she is a good 6 feet from him, she speaks. "Shouldn't you be getting some rest, soldier?"
