USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II, EPISODE I (LIGHT SIDE)- Conspiracy

If you hadn't unlocked the controls, he would have died in there anyhow. He needed to live long enough for you to do it.

Still, your frustration is genuine- you do feel this mission could have certainly gone better.

You also feel a little confused, Vlad. Having now briefly met Balek, you believe everything everyone said about him being such a ruthless bastard. But... he's left your ship intact. He didn't set the station on self-destruct or anything. Frankly, he had you guys pretty well under his heel, but he chose to run instead.

In fact, that's only half the mystery. The other half is why Balek did it at all. This is Balek- the super careful, cunning killer who does not slip up. Even when Gundark had a bounty on her head enough to let him retire for life if he had gotten it, Balek never attacked her in Republican space. He trailed her, kept track of her, but he never did anything on the wrong side of the law. The only bounties he tried to take in Republican space were on Kuylen's men (from the Dark Side thread). He knew exactly what he could and could not do, and that is why you could nopt just arrest him years ago and get it over with. He waited for Gundark to leave the Republic before he took a shot of her, where the legality of it was not an issue.

But now? He just launched a vicious, murderous attack on three Jedi- and none of you even have a Bounty on you. His career is over. The Order will put a Galaxy wide manhunt on him. What the heck would persuade a man of Balek's careful nature to do something quite this monumentally reckless... and then cut and run?

I have a bad feeling about this... Either theres a bomb planted somewhere on my ship, either theres some kind of a trackter planted on my ship or maybe even one of us!

sounds like a warning maybe, I think Balek might have been forced to do this, altho how can you force one of the best bountyhunters to work for you. Maybe they are keeping one of his family members hostage? but who would dare to go up against Balek>

Good question, Marcus. One way or another, Balek didn't put all this together- he may be a good killer, but he's not a businessman.

He's working for someone...

No worries, Vlad. Danger is all over. Odd as that seems to you.

someone who is not scared of Balek and someone who wants the Viceroy death

*whew* No more fighting "Heh... Might have thought of it... This is the most intense mission I ever had in my life!" said VLad waiting for his ship to get pulled into the docks.

(my player conclussion would be a dark jedi or even a sith, but then again I know the truth about the viceroy and the sith in the naboo story I assume marcus doesn't)

This is also true, Vlad. You've been pulled into something bigger you've ever dealt with before.

Well, you do have one name on your list, Marcus.

....ANd whos that?

Afraid indeed Marcus does not, Fire.

The man in the photograph, Vlad.

ignore

the president of the techno-union. he is powerful enough but why would he want the viceroy death?

In the photograph you picked up on Neimodia, that I snapped to attention at the mention of his name because he has a lot to do with me...

Oh... Sooo... Next target: The guy in the photograph...

And what was his name? 😛

The PRESIDENT? Wat Tambor? Nah, wasn't him. One of the Vices.

Well, he seemed to be involved in that factory land deal. On the way home, you can get some more information from the records about that photo, which may give you pause for thought.

Still... the motive is hard to judge.

~....The president of Techno Union! Oooh ooh did I get it right? .... 15 minute break, Bathroom...~

Aslo the Vicey of Techno Union guy, His a Vicey... Me no like Vicey, trying ot get power and stuff...
