"Tricky isnt the word that springs to mind right away" thinks Clarion. "So Ascar, is there something else you'd like to tell us?"

Ascar smiles a long smile, and asks for the datapad, quickly bringing up the front page when you hand it over. He turns it to face you.

"Particularly tricky," says Ascar, "when you consider that Nebb can so clearly and competently speak Basic..."

He hands it back and turns away.

"Watch your back, Jedi," he says as he walks away. "One day, a little detail like that is going to get you killed."

~Are we done? Cuz.. Tommorow's new years...~

~was wondering the same thing~

*Damn that little Lamellan, I knew he was only delaying us with that damn droid stuff, I wonder if I said something bad about him on that mission*

"Most likely Vlad but for now we must get back to the council. Knowing Master Gundark the others will have done their job perfectly"

"Yep, were close to Coruscant already" answered Vlad

Well, there is one more addendum to the Light Side part of things, as a flock of blue-uniformed guards come towards you and ask you to accompany them a short distance away, where the person they have accompanied is watning to speak with you all, though especially Master Clarion.

"I understand I owe you all a great deal of thanks," speaks the newly arrived Supreme Chancellor, in tones of sincere amiability and admiration. "Your bravery and quick thinking in difficult circumstances have made this entire operation possible. You understand, of course, that it is not just in the interests of justice in general that I wanted a positive resolution of this matter- as a native of Naboo myself, I am of course extremely keen to see that the Viceroy gets what he deserves.

"When I heard you were all having difficulties, I only wish I could have helped personally- but of course it would have been highly unseemly for me to involved myself in a situation where I could have been accused of personal bias. All I could do was stand by and hope you did your best- and most certainly that seems to have been enough!

"And my personal thanks to you, Master Clarion. I do not pretend to understand the complexities of what forms a rift between a person of good standing such as yourself and the Council, but I would like you to appreciate that this difference in standing means nothing to me. My predecessor, Valorum, whom I was a rgeat admirer of, was very fond of using such agents in difficult times, like the unfortunate Qui-Gon. You have done us all a great favour in stepping into the breach when poor Kellan found herself so injured in the course of her duties.

"I have been speaking with the Queen. I am led to understand that you are acting as a security consultant for my world at this time. It is pleasing to know that such able hands are assisting my home in its time of continued difficulty since the Trade Federation invasion.

"I would hope then, Master Clarion, that you are keen to see justice fully resolved in this matter. And in the interest of that area, I have spoken with the Council- and whilst Kellan continues to recover, they are happy for you to lead the investigation into who treid to organise the Viceroy's death, Assuming we can find any leads on the matter."

And in fact... you DO have an idea, Clarion, because you have been thinking over things since they happened, Zeraphrain, with their speed, comat aptitude and telepathic advantages, not to mention their anti-social nature, are often sought after as combat and security types. But in the last two decades, one employer has sued them almost exclusively ot organise security in its top level research and manufacturing units- the Techno-Union.

Techno-Union security agents? Why would THEY want him dead? Nonetheless, it explains a lot. The telepathy of the Zeraphrain explains their perfect co-ordination in, for example, the jumping from building to car that Vlad observed earlier, and the oddness in snesing their minds. But in many of thee attempts they first disabled all the technological devices and security sensors you had set up to protect the Viceroy. The resources of the Techno-Union would be an explanation of this.

You would certainly be interested in speaking to whoever it is that is in charge of Techno-Union security- a man you understand is named Carlan Ryamore. If you can get the backing of the Council for a mission... you can start to talk some serious business.

~Noooooooooo! The Techno Union is mine!!! Do you hear me Clarion! Its mine!!!! So dont you lay a finger on any of the Zaphirians there!!!~

calm down Vlad I get a feeling this will be a mission in which we're all envolved

~heh Vlad 😛~

**dont worry as clueless as I am on certain things I most definitely need everyones help**

~Fine, Fine, So are we finished? Cant wait till tommorow... I dont celebrate CHristmas, so I get my presents on new Year...~

yay, Bodyguard duty for me 😐
..old feeble masters......

(yes I am goading you...)

I belive bodyguarding duty suites you perfectly! Don't want the Padawan dying again! 😛

And the Union is mine! They've been a pain in my ass for two years, as it is! 😠

Plus they killed all my pals in the investigation...

ok. so what now?

We wait, We get debriefed and and get out next mission

And so the events of this episode come to an end, before the players re-unite (and possibly meet up with some new members) and attempt to nail the people behind the events of all that you have seen.

With Strine dead, the Anzat Corsairs are broken as a major threat, though as a pirate group they continue, one of many thousands that plague the Galaxy. Their connections with Arazi and the Techno-Union cease.

Despite the obviously illegal goings on surrounding the deal, no charges are pressed against any person for the shifting of the droid manufacturing facility to the station in the badlands as no direct criminal charges that had a reasonable chance of conviction are possible. Until the Conspiracy is broken, no evidence exists. The new facility does not appear to be in operation.

A Galaxy-wide warrant is issued for the arrest of the notorious Bounty Hunter Jor Balek. Balek disappears from view entirely. Subsequent investigation reveals that Balek has apparently made the deal of a lifetime with an employer, and has officially retired from business. No-one alive knows where he went.

The Viceroy is released on a hugely expensive bail pending his trial. The conditions are strict. He must be protected/confined in a secure location that meets the requirements of the Coruscant authorities. The Viceroy turns down the protection of the Jedi, whom he has no confidence in after such close calls on his life. Luckilly, a Republican world solves the problem by offering to take care of security for the Viceroy. Their facilities meet the standards set by the Courts.

As for the other loose ends... they will have to be investigated, and soon. The Council is convening a meeting soon... and it will wish all of you to attend.

End

ok then...

Yepeee... Episode 3 coming up... More butt kicking!

The planet Seronno

With lavish ceremony, the important visitor is welcomed to this ancient world, and given an escort befitting his importance, all of which seems to please him greatly. He has landed but 30 minutes earlier, and already has been made to feel welcomed and appreciated, something he has not done so in months. And also safe- something he has not felt in years.

As he enters the elegant compound of the estate that will be his home for a while- the unsparing luxury of the place suiting his tastes well- he knows that he can finally relax. And there- there was the man who had made it all possible for him! The Vieceoy quickened his pace over to meet him, and shook the hand of the tall, elderly handsome man, who greeted him warmly.

"My dear Viceroy," said Count Dooku. "I am glad to see that you have made it hear safely. Perhaps the only area I could not control was your journey. The powers that be know that I have complained about Coruscant traffic security often enough and yet... nothing is ever done."

"This does not surprise me at all!" replied the Viceroy, with feeling. "Not at one moment did I ever feel safe there! Such intolerable people and utter incompetence! And as for those Jedi..."

"I am sure the Jedi protected you to the best of their ability, Viceroy," said Dooku.

"I was nearly killed! Several times!"

"Believe me, Viceroy, I know the Jedi well. They would never consciously shirk their duties and their abilities are wide indeed. The system, was your enemy; the Jedi canot adequately protect those covered only with a shield of straw. Here, your shield will be of iron."

"You are right! Thw whole system there is ridiculous; I am at a loss to explain how the Republic holds together at all..."

"But the Jedi were able to extinguish the threat to you... were they not?"

The Viceroy remained silent.

"Come, Viceroy, walk with me."

Dooku chose his moment well before continuing

"Viceroy, you are a man of great power and prestige. Yet you seem somewhat at a loss with regards to this situation. I cannot think of any reason why you are so troubled."

"Is it not simple? It is these ridiculous moaning Republican idiots, who seek to take me down under tge cover of their bleating monstrosities about justice!"

"It must be said, Viceroy, that the Trade Federation's activities on Naboo were at least... somewhat wanting in procedure?"

"My blockade was perfectly legal!"

"Yet without the assent of the Queen, the surface landing raises legal difficulties which inevitably merit some form of investigation from the Republic."

"You don't understand! I was betrayed!"

"Betrayed?" asked Dooku. The Viceroy remained silent. "Betrayed by whom?" More silence. "Who has turned on you, Viceroy? Who has you so afraid? Who is it that you fear is trying to kill you?"

"I... I..." began the Viceroy. Dooku raised a hand.

"Forgive me. It is rude of me to press you so. Now is not the time for such serious matters. Come, relax, and enjoy my hospitality. You are safe here with me.

"And when you are feeling more relaxed... you can tell me all about it..."

****ok, so now what?****
