"Ah yes, well, legalese, eh, Master Gundark? Always a bind. Still, what's time compared to justice? Well, we had better be moving on now, eh?"

"Goodbye Kellan," says Ascar. "We'll speak again tomorrow after you have done what we were talking about." He speaks it as a fact, not a preposition.

As Ascar and Riordan leave, you realise that Ascar is part of Riordan's delegation...

Thirty minutes later, you are all back at the hotel, without any incident. The Viceroy isn't happy though.

"Who was that irritating creature?" he complains. "Over and over and over again with his endless, stupid questions!"

"That would be, my good Viceroy, Senator Nebb of the Lamellans, if you were talking about him," Jelena tells him. "Master Marcus here ran into Nebb a few years back, or so I am told. They were supporting the smuggling on Tartarus in order to gain more money..."

Xeth nods, looks to Christof and Densk, then follows the man.

"Now that you know me, who are you?"

Kyle leaned on the wall with a toothpick in his mouth he quickly threw it out into the garbage can and said "Good to know....How much time did we waste...." he qickly looked up at Jelena "We better be going and securing the rear Master GUndark told us..." said Vlad as he went up to the Rear.

All done, Vlad!

"The Lamellans are nothing but smugglers and thieves!" says the Viceroy. "A pox on the Republic."

Though you want to be careful about what you say, Jelena- Marcus can't prove a darn thing about that collaboration.

"I'm just a traveller," he says, Xeth. A moment later, an energy field crackles ito life, separating Xeth from Christof and Densk. You all sense it just before it happens, but an energy field comes on damn fast. It's the type that fries flesh.

Two figures fall in line behind Christof and Densk, from concealed doors that open.

"Do please excuse the inconvenience, Master Jedi," says one of them (obviously addrssing Christof rather than Densk). "If you care to come with me, we have some refreshment available for you whilst we wait for your friend to return. Before you ask, we mean no harm, but this ship is private property and as you are without a warrant, we would prefer that you came no further."

"The door to the bridge is at the end of this corridor, Xeth," says your escort. "The captain will see you now."

"Where do you get the idea that I'm a Jedi? You guys must be in some kind of distress to limit the amount of help you get..."

Can I sense anything...Bad about them, Ush?

Bad in what way?

"There is considerable distress," says the man, "but it's not ours. Please, do come through."

"Alright."

Christof follows the men.

(Not theirs?)

Xeth turns to the energy field.

"Christof, Densk, stay right there," Xeth says, with obvious worry. "I have a bad feeling about this..." he mutters, then turns to follow his escort.

"Thank you, sir," Xeth says to his escort, his grip on his lightsaber firm under his cloak. Xeth quickly uses Scan on the escort's mind for a brief second before going through the door to see the Captain.

He's nervous about something.

You walk on through, Xeth, into a darkened room. The door closes behind you, and your escort stays outside. The spot you are standing in is then brightly lit, dazzling you somewhat, though you can sense the armed men either side of you. Also the man on the far side of the room in a chair, who swivels to face you. He has an aire of importance.

"A Geonosian..." he says. "Not quite a race at the burning centre of the Republic. Why should any of us trust such an outsider?"

"So whos distress is it exactly?"

"Yours," he says, taking you to a side room, where there is indeed some stuff for you to eat and drink. "And possibly a good portion of the Galaxy."

"...This isn't just about the pirates...Care to explain?"

"No," he says. "Help yourself, by the way."

(Our distress? That makes no sense...)

"I admit, my race is not exactly the noblest or boldest in the universe, and they are not in the Republic. Yet, I seem to be the exception. I am a Jedi Knight, after all. It is my sworn duty to protect the innocent, help the weak, and bring justice to evil."

"Xeth Tam, at your service," he says with a slight bow. "Now, since I've come to your aid, mind giving me an explanation of what is going on? I felt uncomfortable because of that energy wall you put between my friends and I..."

Xeth looks around to see if he can recognize a make of the ship, or maybe if there were any traps. He also counts the number of armed guards, and takes note of their uniforms.

"No thank you...And no, You don't want to explain or No, this isn't just about the pirates?"

They're not actually in uniform, Xeth, though in the darkness you can only sense rather than see them. Mind you, you have an inkling about who these people are...

"Hmm, a Jedi Knight... not exactly a mainstream one though, Xeth, are you? How can one ever trust a man who does not follow the will of his superiors?"

"I leave that up to the trustee," Xeth says. "However, I still obey my superiors to some extent, and they find it useful occassionally that I am the way I am."

"Well, let us say I am not a trusting person by default. And it is not just the Jedi you work for, is it? I am not sure how much I trust a person with no cause, either."

"I am not in a position where I can explain," he says. "I am sure you understand the importance of orders."
