Galder's Speed roll becomes the final significant roll of the entire Demaran 'unpleasantness', and it is a good one, at +6. Galder speeds away from his pursuers and makes it to his ship.
Slowly, reluctantly, your ships lurch off the ground as Tanic relays instructions and an exhausted and rather broken Galder hammers at the buttons in front of him. Equally reluctantly, the Osokans abandon their pursuit, and quickly make for cover in the long wheat. With the highest piloting skill currently available to any of you being, I think, a 4, you aren't in any fit state to do anything other than getting the heck out of there.
Takuan can leap onto Galder's ship as it goes past- I was going to role-play that out but I think this situation has lasted long enough.
(Watching from the top of the Harvester, Helkin's eyes narrow as your ships slip away, and he reaches for a communicator)
Demarus in orbit looks much the same now as it did when you arrived, only it's seeming irrelevant innocence has now been shattered by the nightmares that were down there. Coming out of eclipse behind the moon now is a sleek transport vessel- which is trying to acquire a sensor lock on your ships. Bugger! No time to think- this system is exceptionally hostile and you have to get out of here as quickly as possible. Galder, you make the calculations as best you can. You make for the first navigational point you can identify, without thought for anything other than getting out of HERE before they lock on and follow you. Of course, once you go they'll know your vector, so you'll have to jump again soon after. There's a nebula not too far from here, marked a s aminor navigational hazard. Completely useless for anything- other than being something for you to navigate BY. Tanic can link into your navigational data, and a few moments later, the stars streak, and your ships blur into hyperspace...

Now, at this point, you guys have a very great deal to worry about. I'll list it as follows:
1. Insane pig-people trying to kill you. Obviously. But they can't find you now.
2. Fuel. You came a long way to be here, and you did not have time to 'acquire' any more fuel on Demarus. Your range is limited.
3. Treatment. The Neurodamage you recieved from the whips is permanent, along with that paralysis or impairment. Your nervous systems, or even brains, have been damaged and that does not get better on its own. You need decent medical treatment to patch up- not to mention the fact that you are all badly beaten up anyway!
In short, you need somewhere to stay, to hide, to patch up, to re-fuel- and move on. Wherever you are heading next, that is.

Now, as well as that (and those of you with Savoir-Faire as a skill should be able to come up with some ideas), I am sure several of you- well, at least two, as I have talked to you guys about it at length- want to have a long talk about what is going on, what caused it, what it means, and what it showd up about you guys as a group.
But, if you will indulge me, I would like to introduce a delay before we start on all that. The next section will give you all plenty of time to talk things over as you recuperate. But first... in order to spend some time whilst the Light Side catches up (they are currently slowed by Gundy's extended absence and Roan getting used to command), this is a good time for you guys to re-do your characters.
Obviously, you guys were chucked into a harsh situation, but it was definitely a stress-test of your characters. You have a good grounding in the system now, what works, what doesn't, and what you need. So you can re-make on those lines.
The system is built to allow people to re-do their characters in the early days. However, note, this is not the Matrix and the rules are not going to keep changing at that rate. That being the case, the characters you submit now will be your final ones- no more major changes afterwards, in fact, no changes at all except when further rules modifications are made. So take your time! If you want any help, ask.
Also note that your Force power allocation has gone up, so check your templates!
