Where the hell are The Kinks? The Small Faces? The Jam? The Smiths? The Clash? Radiohead?

British bands? Well goodness, there are many that are quite good. They follow in no particular order either.

Led Zeppelin, Queen, The Beatles, The Who, Pink Floyd, Cream.

However...My personal favorites are Queen and Led Zeppelin.

I have really only heard one Who cd (I hope to get more) But the whole cd has a wide range of sounds (Except a few songs that kinda sound the same)

Yeah I like Floyd too, not the greatest of party music when there are girls present but then again girls never understood music.

oasis is not in the same class as most of those bands.

Maybe Oasis could be on the list of newer great british bands, with others like Portishead, Massive Attack, Coldplay and Morcheeba. If i had to pick out of this list i'd go with Pink Floyd.

anyone like iron maiden

I like Iron Maiden from album # 1 Iron Maiden and to Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, those albums I really like after that my foundness of IM cooled down a bit. To me think they should have called it a day after 7th son.

yeah, that's the problem with most bands--they hang around too long. Zeppelin had Coda, Black Sabbath had...anything past Ozzy's departure, and some before, Queen had Flash Gordon, The Who had It's Hard...as far as I can tell, the only band to have finished while still at the top of their game is The Beatles. They were arguably still getting better
