Shaq/Kobe/T-Mac... predictions?

Shaq hinted at a possible departure although I doubt he will.

Indiana says they would really like to get T-Mac and the only person untouchable is Jermaine. They specifically asked if Artest was untouchable and Walsh said no.

Everything looks like SHaq and Kobe in LA, Phil out.

I was looking at free agents and since LA would have some cap room...i saw Andre Miller and Gilbert Arenas. Their youth, but experience, would really help the overall speed of the Lakers. But it's one day after the finals...i think i'll let things play out before i go hoping for things.

Sounds like Jackson is gone. The rumored replacements are Rudy T (#1) followed by Rambis(#2). The Lakers would like to get Pat Riley as well but they say that is a very slim chance.

I don't care who their coach is as long as he's a slave driver that will get on their ass for slacking off.

Long term isn't that the obvious choice? Shaq's got another...ummm...3-5 years left in him. He'd slowly get worst with age.

Kobe will be around for another 8-12 years, 8 being absolute minimum. Kobe Bryant is the future of the Lakers...like I said, i don't see them letting him go.

As for Phil...I don't want him to leave unless they have an adequete replacement coach. Rambis is alright, but he doesn't cut it in my book. I want a quality coach running this team otherwise all that talent goes to waste.

yea but shaq wants a long term deal too...there not gonna be able to sign both..i dont see both of them staying a laker but like i've heard so many times before....time will tell

I think it'd be good to sign Kobe long term, have them play this year together, then either drop Shaq, or re-sign him and trade him for a defensive minded center and either some good draft pics or a high quality point guard.

A power forward probably wouldn't hurt LA's future either...

if they dont extend shaqs contract this year i think he's gonna demand a trade...he doenst want to finish what 2 yrs he's got left he either wants an extension or a trade

The plan with Rudy T is that he has had to coach superstars before in Houston having coached Olajuwon, Drexler, Barkley and Pippen.

Ok, Lakers said Phil is officially gone. He has a chance to remain in the organization but not as a coach. Kobe officially opted out of his contract. Shaq cancelled his season-exit interview because he was angry at Kupchak for what he said yesterday about the possibility of trading Shaq.

McGrady told Orlando that he will opt out of his contract, so the organization apparently will try to move T-Mac in the next 2 weeks. Most likely to either Indiana, Houston or Phoenix.
Indy would have to give Ron Artest, Al Harrington, Jonathen Bender and Jamal Tinsley for him.
Houston was asked by Orlando for Francis, Cato, and Mobley.
Phoenix would have to part with Marion, Joe Johnson and Jake whatever the hell you spell his last name.

Houston should not trade Francis for anything. Yao and Steve should be untouchable.

Those are ridiculous trades for T-Mac. If I were Houston, Indy, or Phoenix I would never make such a terrible trade. T-Mac is good, but not THAT good. And he has yet but to prove that he can make the players around him any better....

I think those are what Orlando wants, I don't think those are people actually offered to Orlando. But I wouldn't say Francis is untouchable. I want him gone from Houston or traded. Yao is the man and Francis is too selfish to get Yao the rock. I see too many games where Francis takes 20+ shots and Yao with like 7.

Good thing: Mehmet Okur will stay in the D because Elden Cambell is going to the Bobcats (maybe) and will take his salary, so that will free up money to get Sheed and Okur! Sweet! 🙂

i think with mcrady decision that means okefor isnt a lock for the #1 pick anymore they can go younger...i would have to agree that Francis is almost untouchable in houston and god only knows what gonna happend with the lakers pus if T-mac goes to indy and they get rid of artest i would say thats a huuuge mistake

i dont think we need okur or that the pistons are still gonna pay him more than 5 mill a yr which is what i hear he wants.....Darko is gonna be playing next year so i dont see why we should keep orkur espicially for the money he's askin..but sheed is a no brainer we better re-sign him
