:( Can Anybody Help Me....Please

i recently downloaded icq, and i have had no problems with it.

the other day i was added by a number, i authorized it, all my internet windows were immedietly closed
i clicked the shortcut to open them, and what should happen but the homepage has changed, and my 'dial up' box pops up automaticaly when i start up the pc. and if i dont connect it pops up hundreds of times more, like all at the same time....

i dont know what this is...i would say spyware
i have that spybot thing raz gave me ages ago
and i just again downloaded my internet
nothing has helped

does anybody know how to stop it

even just to stop the dial up thing!

seems that icq dude that added you did some tricks

you can change your homepage easily again, but the pop up to get on the net is probably cause the net is now in your start up

do you know how to stop the whole pop up thing

also i change my homepage back, it stays that way all night
then when i restart pc and go on internet its back as the other one

no, alot, and i mean alot, of stuff was cleared from pc about a month ago

format and reinstall everything. get a firewall, or some form of net security you can find. and don't accept unknown contacts 🙂

well, first get a firewall, raz gave the link to a free one somewhere around here

do a spyware run, get IE out of start up and change your homepage again

Ok, How Do I Get IE Out Of Startup?

What OS are you in? Click Start->Run, then type in msconfig

Make sure you have run a virus scan, you might have a trojan, if not spyware: http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_dwnl_free.php

Also, uninstall ICQ and then re-install it.
