Starship Troopers 2

The irony is that the careers of Casper Van Dien and Denise Richards have plummeted so far they'd have been grateful to have been offered a role in this direct to video crap.

Its average. Worth seeing. Number one was far better though. Some cool new bugs and good special effects. 3 out of 5 from me

There was no need for a sequel. The original movie's entire purpose masked a parody of Hitler's Nazi youth recruitment campaign.

The "bugs" resembled the "Jews", and so on and so forth. The television ad campains were similar to that ran by Hitler, encouraging youth to fight, because the Jews were a disease.

Also take note of the shower scene, Dina Meyer in particular, all the recruits were in extremely good physical condition, which played towards Hitler's being particular to the perfect human body.

Doogie Howser's Gestapo uniform at the end of the movie would have sealed the deal for anyone who hadn't caught on earlier.

Like I said, if the sequel lacked any of these qualities, it's just another Sci Fi movies.

I liked the first Starship Troopers (even tho they keep playing it on tv and it can get annoying). I dont think I wanna see the second tho.

i was actually thinking about renting it.

well since they are now split from Disney im sure they wont do that.

yeah there is alot of nazi related stuff droped around n starship troopers one. Only one that I know and dont see mentioned is that they all lived in Argentina.

wow i never saw that movie that way............... ill never look at it the same way again.

i watched the sequal the other night and it was pretty damn crappy. you can def tell t was a first time director and that the the movie was all filmed in a studio. 2/5 is the rating ill give it, the 2 only because they kept alittle of the propaganda in it, which was what made the first so great.

yeh, it was so crap, like crap actors, story line, they didnt fight much bugs like they did in the first one.

I'm telling you all this movie is almost as bad as leperchaun in space. I mean you have the same kind of special effects, camera lighting, and non existant story. The movie is so terribly bad. They couldnt afford to do the bugs, so they took shots from the original, or they would just keep reusing the same camera shots of the bugs running twords people and cut to a close up of someone firing a gun.

Didnt have a chance yet to see this.but I heard its good.
