Proof" that 1 + 1 = 1
a = 1
b = 1

a = b
a^2 = b^2
a^2 - b^2 = 0
(a-b)(a+b) = 0
(a-b)(a+b)/(a-b) = 0/(a-b)
1(a+b) = 0

i love fishes cause they're so delicious! got gold fishes!!!

well you take the square root of the number multiply by 5 over 6, divide the degree of the circumference of the triangulation center to x over y times z to the nth degree and add the remainder of the hour there is left in a week when 8 mos. has gone by...

this is in reference to you math heads...

gah! brain hurts!!!

Then i isn't really imagined but solvable... - does the * connect pi and i or (e^pi) and i?

it's Euler's formula
0=1+e^(pi*i)

gahhhh!!!!!!!!!! stop!!!!!!!!

divide by a-b is not possible

😖 you guys think too much

@eezy
Bingo

here's a harder one:
"Proof": 2 = 1
-2 = -2
4 - 6 = 1 - 3
4 - 6 + 9/4 = 1 - 3 + 9/4
(2 - 3/2)2 = (1 - 3/2)2
2 - 3/2 = 1 - 3/2
2 = 1

hullo 😖hifty:

actually, Eulers joking proof was the one under my sig...

well in my confusion i will use the words einstein said, while stuck on an equasion

'**** that, ill say anything. they wont try and prove it wrong'

Euler's formula is true. Type in a calc, if it has imaginary units

there's a word for that....

lemme think...

NERDS.

😂

I'm just kidding.....😮

hehe

Ok why are we talking about maths.

Step 1: -1/1 = 1/-1

Step 2: Taking the square root of both sides:

Step 3: Simplifying:

Step 4: In other words, i/1 = 1/i.

Step 5: Therefore, i / 2 = 1 / (2i),

Step 6: i/2 + 3/(2i) = 1/(2i) + 3/(2i),

Step 7: i (i/2 + 3/(2i) ) = i ( 1/(2i) + 3/(2i) ),

Step 8: i^2/2 + (3i)/(2i) = i/(2i)+(3i)/(2i)

Step 9: (-1)/2 + 3/2 = 1/2 + 3/2,

Step 10: and this shows that 1=2.

@Sauron: I dunno....hence my earlier post.
