What Pisses you off the most when it comes to Today's Video Games?

I hate when they invest so much into graphics when the gameplay makes the game, but on certain games i see the need

games that get dull half way through.

Games That are too short and cost to much for them also the graphics in some games.

I hate Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, b/c the single player mode sucks! Of course its my own fault i should've done more research and just waited until Tales of Symphonia comes out. And i should've gotten Skies of Arcadia, which i was told was great, and the graphics were only sub-par, but its the best classic RPG on the Gamecube, but I'm playing Resident Evil: Zero right now, which is decent.

escort missions are the worst. their so frustrating. I dont mind uber hard(ninja gaiden, viewtiful joe ect.). I just hate it when AI is cheap to the player.

Todays video games hype themselves up so hard, they fall flat on thier face. Truely disgusts me...

Note to developers : Thinking your games out before creating them helps...alot....

but to be more specific, uninspired gameplay/ character design/ story , reallly really pisses me off... why'd I spend 50 bucks on something I saw somewhere else?

when you have to be somewhere to save. like in GTA when you have a hideout you have to save at. i always just get pissed when the cops get me, and turn off the game. then i realize that i jsut finished half the game and have to start over. jsut wait, i have plenty of things i hate, i just have to think of them all first! lol

I like how more and more games are having voice-actors, but sometimes I wish they'd choose their voice actors more carefully or not have the voice actor at all. For example, Tidus from FFX was really annoying.. they should have allowed the option of having the japanese voices in the american version. One thing I noticed about square's games these days is they're more linear. I prefer having the whole world to explore as I please, using a ship to sail there, etc, rather than just pointing to a place and transporting myself automatically like in kingdom hearts or ffX.

I hate the fact that game developpers like EA creat such realistic games.....but they forget one thing....BLOOD!!!!! Every damn time,when i want to shoot my ally in Medal of Honor...you can't!! It's not only them,but there are a lot of corporations that just don't want blood in their games. And don't give me crap like "think of the children...". Yeah that pisses me off.

When they tell you about really good looking games give you an ass load of information on how beatifull the game looks then at the end it says

Thing is, with games like Ninja Gaiden, the difficulty makes the damn game into a chore. I don't think I ever had a single moment of enjoyment from that game. I was thrilled at times, and on the edge of my seat through most of it, but as far as enjoyment goes? Nope. None. Zippo.

Anybody played Pro Evolution Soccer (1, 2 or 3 - in USA and Jap its called Winning Eleven) on PS2? Now that's a game thats rock solid, yet fun. You are on the edge of your seat, in intense gameplay, especially if it's with friends. But it's FUN. It's never a chore playing this game.

What I'm getting at, is that games like Pro Evolution Soccer can be as hardcore as they come, but never resort to sapping all fun from the game.

Games should be about enjoying yourselves, with a nice long story to get your teeth into, and gameplay you will want to replay again and again.

Also, games like Spider-Man 2 - that offer NO secrets at all, are annoying. I wouldn't mind but they have so many things to collect - you'd think there'd be a reward for doing it. Heck just a Shocker or Black Cat skin would have done.

Games that have that one level THAT ONE LEVEL that you just can't beat

i'll tell ya what pisses me off about video games...last week i found out that there makin a daredevil game based off the comics and it looked pretty sweet..it was due out in a couple of months....this week i found out they cancelled it......MOTHER ****ERS!!!!!!!

Same here, like any video games so far that have been based off of the LOTR trilogy. The first game sucked big time and the TTT and RTOK were ok games but they felt like the exact same game. Enter the Matrix is not as bad as alot of people are making it out to be, it was ok, it could have been a lot better though. At least we got some cool cutscenes in the game. Hopefully The Matrix Online will be better because it looks really good.
