Of the ones listed? Bulbasaur.
In Gen 1, I picked Bulbasaur cause he is obviously the best and number 1.
In Gen 2 I went with Totodile because he was a crocodile dinosaur.
In Gen 3 I went with Torchic because I'd never tried the fire starter.
In Gen 4 I went back to grass and chose Turtwig.
And in Gen 5 I picked Oshawott because he was clearly the best.

Wow...We pretty much chose the same ones. lol Although in the gen 2 I think I chose the grass version but I can't think of the name right now.

Not really sure why Venusaur would be considered one of the best. The ability to inflict status damage? Or that one ability of his that makes him very fast in the sun?The others I totally get.
In the first generation Bulbasaur is the best starter. With good defenses, HP, and a versatile arsenal of moves he's the only one that's in the OU tier. Charizard on the other hand is the worst. You trade immunity to ground- and resistance to fighting moves for a weakness against lightning, an evened out resistance against ice, and a quadruple weakness against rock. His move pool is also too straight forward and outmatched by other most other fire type Pok茅mon like Arcanine and Ninetails.
I'm personally not very much for starters, and I'm always rather quick to replace them in my teams. They're just far too common online.

They should have made Charizard a Dragon-type.He's the only one that actually looks like a ****ing dragion for christs sake.
You wouldn't find someone who had the grass, fire, electric, water, dragon, psychic, etc. type as its secondary typing.
