It's not my favorite type but it's resistant to elven out of seventeen types, and immune to poison, which works wonders against abilities like toxic.
Dark is probably my favorite typing of all, ghost would be my favorite in the first generation. Umbreon, Sneasel, and Tyranitar are all awesome Pok茅mon.
