Still haven't seen proof a thought exist, but I say we get back to the original topic.

Challenging peoples belief systems is one thing, mocking them is something else. I beleive in no god and nothing mystical but I do not call those that do slaves. With your screen name I would have thought you woukld understand Karma better. 😄

I'm sorry if I offended anyone. It has been a running joke on other threads.

I don't care how a person believes just as long as we all love each other. I have seen so many people blindly be controlled and do harm to others, that I have to speak out, but I meant no harm.

Yes...through the sub particles discussed in quantum potential theory...everything is connected at that sub level...even the invisible...like thoughts....all things act and react with each other. On the micro and Macro level....all thing affect each other......Start looking there and you'll start to find your meaning of life.

Good, I was misunderstanding you, I'm glad you want to be happy.

I don't know how to answer your question (Is there any reason you think we are all connected to god?), but I will try.
If you look at your mind and still all of the voices, you will hear a soft quiet voice. I've learned a technique to help amplify this voice. This voice does not speak in words, it communicates to us through emotions. This voice is the same voice in me, in you, and in everyone. This voice is the voice of God. Most people can not hear it, too much going on in the mind, you have to shut it all down. The reason I believe this is God is; all the voices, in everyone seas the same thing. Love one another. This is the only commandment, now.

Hmm...I hope you mean god is speaking to you in a symbolic sense, I dont mean to offend but if there are really voices in your head you may have some sort of problem, Once again not to offend you but Ive never heard this voice and Ive never heard this concept from anyone but you. Also emotions arent from god there from the brain, Im glad you appreciate your emotions so much but to think theres something mystical about them is similar to believing in heaven etc... all lies.

The more times you said "not to offend", the more I realized your true intent was to offend. You are not a nice person, go away and talk to someone else. I can't help that you have a limited rang of experiences. As far as voices are concerned, you talk to yourself all the time, if you don't you the one who needs help. These voices are different archetypes, but you have never heard of this ether. You don't know me, so don't judge me. My suggestion is, put me on your ignore list. As far as your pitiful idea about the meaning of life, I feel sorry for you. Don't answer this post, you are on my ignore list now.

🙁 Go ahead if you wish but I didnt mean to offend you, Im the logical type Im very skeptical.

The meaning of life can not be understood by the logical mind.

What if there isn't a meaning to life, and we're just lifeforms that have a more complex mind than any other we've encountered. What if there is no afterlife in which we might discover a meaning? What if we simply stop existing, no mind, no soul, no spirit...nothing. Even if there is a God, than what would make him decide to create only one sentient lifeform in the Universe? And if there are others, than why are we so important that he decided to send his only son the humans?

Truth is, If there is no God, than there is no meaning. If there is a God, than we must wait till death to discover it, if there even is one.

Good point Tangible.

But I think the really question is why is everyone so obsessed with Life having a meaning

Are you making fun of me?? 😄

I do have to say that you can connect with what ever it is...It does come in symbols in meditation...I do it....I know lots of people that do it....It's open to everyone...

Just cause you don't understand or know about it doesn't mean it doesn't ring true.

Shakyamunison, I noticed you put Great Vengeance on your ignore list, so you probably didn't see this post 😬

I don't think GV meant to offend you, genuinely...

Thank you. GV rubs me the wrong way, it is really my problem. If I ignore him for a while I will be able to read his posts again with my feet on the ground. I am human, and I get bent out of shape sometimes, but it is my problem, and over time I will fix it. I still have lots of room to grow. Thank you for your concern, I really do appreciate it. 🙂

😄 No problem, I just saw that GV seemed a little hurt about the Ignore thing 😬

Well, I'm sorry, GV should take comfort in realizing that the problem is really in how I read his posts. They get me in a sore spot, didn't know I had one there, but now I do. So, In a way he is helping me be stronger, but If I try to confront him now, I will just get pissed.

This, in a sense, summarizes all other questions asked. It is usually understood as: "What are the highest values, the Supreme Goals which I should try to achieve?". We stress that every human being must freely set those goals for himself or herself. The Supreme Goal which we choose derives logically from our cybernetic world view: to make a constructive contribution to the evolution of humanity, in order to maximize our long-term chances of survival (immortality). In essence, the 'meaning of life' is to increase evolutionary fitness. Do you agree?
I don't know if this has been said before but personally...I think part of us being here is to love and be loved in return...that probably sounds cliched but I believe it, not totally becuase that statement in itself raises alot of counter arguments and contradictions for me..but I think it's part of the meaning..love makes people feel more alive than any other emotions...it drives them to feel more and do more than anything else...anyhoo..just my thoughts on it.. 😮

clapping Thanks for sharing your thoughts, at least some peoeple are bothering to read the first post and comment on it rather than just slide in at the end of the thread and argue with someone else's views 🙄

I agree with you, anyway... I'd rather believe the point of us being here is to learn and love than reproduce like machines, love brings spirit and essence to life itself.

An other controlled slave... 😆

I know and this other 'controlled slave' actually knows what the meaning to life is, i suppose anyone else could come up with a better answer? From all angles the meaning to life starts with a meaning for life. If Life starts for no reason, life doesn't start atall. To put it simple life revolves around the one who MADE IT, if noone made it then there is no meaning to life. If there is a reason for life, there must have been something to have made the reason. I drink because i need to, i wouldn't have drank if i didn't need to etc.
