USH'S MATRIX GAME FIFTH ASSIGNMENT (PHILOSOPHY PATH)- 'The Reason'

Started by General Zink33 pages

Hephaestus, moving his blocking to both hands, runs up the wall behind him backwards, flipping over the heands of the duped musicians as they attack and wrenching their arms backwards (Vertical Dodge).

(I know, no more Seven Scholar's Block AND I lose the blocks...)

Well, they rather spectacularly miss you, Heph!

It will take you to the end of sequence to get the door open now, Rade.

I am afraid we have a single hit on Castor, for four damage.

Eye of the Fox on the nearest mook.

Actually, Ush, I think joining this now would be more of an inconvenience for you. I'm leaving soon for a month and a half, so Azrael would appear and then leave again. Sorry. Hopefully I'll be back in time for the next assignment. If you want you can use him as an NPC.

(Oh fiddlesticks, Trickster...)

Heph twists the injured musician around and punches him in the gut (Super Flash Hand).

Sorry guys! I can join for this week, if ya want?

neah..there'd be an azrael* 🙂...dunno if we can make him disapear as fast as you will

A shame... I don't think we'd be quite done in a week. Best not for now then, Trick.

Now, Super Flash Hand... that would be a move that requires a Block, yes, Heph? I would have reminded you that they are not now Blocked, but you did your 'I know, I know...' thing, which I guess is quite ironic... I will take that as a normal attack, which downs an opponent, as does Castor's disarm.

Fifth sequence speed roll was a 6.

Door is open, Rade and Castor!

"come on!" yells rade.
(or do you preffer to finish the mooks first?..but i wouldn't want our egos following 🙂. That goodlookin rade* is a dangerous dude 😛 )

*smacks forehead* Duh, my bad, must have read the wrong update...

Heph moves in for the kill. "Want to lead me out of here, or shall I just kick you into a wall?"

Kick of the Grasshopper.

As ever, there is no response, Heph. You roll evens and the final member of the quartet- probably the Cellist- is smashed vigorously across the room.

Heph shakes his head, and heads for the next room.

A corridor, Heph- and one that you recognise. The string quartet's 'quarters' were near Melitus' room, and so now you can navigate yourself.

You could go see Melitus, though you suspect it would be an immense waste of time...

well...rade enters the room.
i guess castor can take them even if he doesn't decide to follow

It is roughly at this point that Rade* and Castor* do indeed enter the corridor at the far end...

(I suspect it would, especially because I need to open that door. I'll see him later...maybe...)

Hephaestus nods in recognition of the area, then heads in the direction of the door, wherever that may be.

Okay. Stay if you want, but this is a survival game, were trying to avoid combat until the cavalry comes so I'mma go into the room. Hopefully theres nothing too big in there.

Heph, you dash on through the cultured corridors, skipping around the 'decontamination' room and back through the areas you remember, until you are finally at the corridor where the door back to the Matrix resides, about two thirds down. Heart pumping, you dash down the corridor... but even as you start, another figure rounds the far side of the corridor, and is dashing forward- in slow but lengthy paces- to cut you off. It is a dark figure, with long strands of matted black hair hanging down from his scalp and entirely covering his face, and breathing with a noise that sounds like someone has slashed his throat.

The Xiao Emo stands before you.

-

Castor and Rade, the two of you dash forwards into the room. The door closes far more easily than it opened, though this cuts off the last of the light.

For a moment, all is pitch black; you reach out around you but you cannot feel any nearby walls; this is no corridor but a large room of some description. There must be some tiny source of light somewhere, for after half a minute your eyes begin to adjust, and you can make out large static shapes around you. You reach out and touch one- it feels like some sort of glass, or plastic.

RAde touches it more, to get an idea of it's shape.
"what are these things?" he asks castor more or less rethorically

It is rounded, but tall- some kind of cylinder.
