(OOC: You never said that earlier!)
As it is apparent that it will take Govski some time to get the message, type up and new reply and encode it, Lance looks to the sky where he can just see through a break in the clouds. What he sees doesn't surprise him. The blockade is visible from the ground, although it is outside the atmosphere.
"Well everyone, I suggest we find some cover from this rain. We can't have any of us getting the sniffles if we ever run into trouble."
Like a Hutt, you mean?
I'm not joking. Disembarking from the ship now is the vast, corpulent form of a female Hutt, rubbing her hands greedily together. Dozens of bodyguards pour out either side of her, heavily armed.
Heavily-armed? There MUST nbe something seriously wrong with that blockade...
Meanwhile, from the rear of the ship, vast, long crates are being unloaded.
I think this is a good time for you to get a reply... the messenger opings into life
VERLAINE CONFIRMS HUTT SHIP HAS PASSED THROUGH BLOCKADE. SHIP BROADCAST GENUINE CODE TO ALLOW PASSAGE. CODE IS SAME AS YOUR OWN- IDENTIFYING SHIP AS ON JEDI BUSINESS. ASSUMED IT WAS TO HELP YOU AND YOU HAD DEVISED A WAY TO GIVE IT SAFE LANDING. HAVE INFORMED CORUSCANT AND CODES ARE BEING CHANGED.
Gundark stared at Govski's transmission on the tiny readout on the comlink. How could anyone have gotten that code.... she thought. Quickly erasing the message, she looked at Lance and mah. "I don't think even the Bothans could have obtained that code, even with their agents. There must be a leak on Coruscant." Gundark motioned slightly with a nod of her head. "I'd like to know whats in those crates and we're they're taking them. We'll follow them at distance. We don't want to attract any attention from the Hutt's bodyguards."
Gundark considered Lance's words as they moved along. "Its not entirely impossible that our code was intercepted during its transmission but that suggestion leads me to believe we may have been tracked from Coruscant." She watched the Hutt's sluggish movements. "I can't believe the corvette was just hanging around waiting for a ship to show up that would have access through the blockade."
