USH'S GAME EPISODE II- 'REVENGE'. Light Side Area

''Argentis!'' Mah keeps his voice low, but had to struggle to, in the surprise of seeing Argentis.

Gundark's mind was reeling. She barely heard Lance and mah, crouched on either side of her. Argentis is working for Faylar... or so it seemed. "Clear your mind of thoughts," she whispered quickly to her companions. "We cannot reveal ourselves to Argentis at this point." She had known Argentis little in the past; there was no way of knowing how strong with the Force he had become or knowing if he could truly sense their presence. And a pair of Jedi Masters and a handful of Knights made a very powerful presence in the Force indeed.

Well, everyone has cleared out, leaving you guys alone, with a lot to think about, and a lot of choice about where to go next...

"It appears Argentis has turned to the Dark Side," Gundark stated. Argentis...yerssot...what is happening here ?? she wondered. The darkness that was always there, had always been there now seemed to be making its presence in the Force more pronounced. She would have to speak to Master Yoda about it when they returned to Coruscant. She then turned her thoughts to the moment and addressed her fellow Jedi. "I suggest we go to the palace and find a way to disrupt the delivery of the rest of these battle droids. We've also got to find out where the Hutt is shipping them from, because if she can't complete delivery to Faylar, she'll deliver them to some other power-hungry separatist." Gundark slowly stood, stretching out her legs. "And we must still retrieve Argentis." She glanced at Lance, knowing he was also thinking of yerssot.

Well, guys, you have an ethical dilemma here.

Clearly it is a bad thing if Faylar gets these droids.

But I must remind you of the following:

1. There is nothing illegal in Shareth owning the deactiovated droids
2. There is nothing illegal with her selling them OUTSIDE the Republic
3. You have no jurisdiction to act on either issue.

At this point, you have to balance your sense of right and wrong with your sense of duty. There is no 'right' way to proceed at this point.

Mah thought about the situation and said ''Going to the palace seems like the thing to do now. Finding out what the Hutt will do is of great interest, and even more so to investigate what the situation of Argentis is. Is he really co-operating with Faylar? This we must find out, and therefore we should go to the palace.''

"Let's get a move on then."

"Right. Quickly now, before we loose track of them." Gundark had briefly envisioned secreting themselves in one of the crates and slipping into the palace without being detected but scratched the idea as she knew it would be nearly impossible to gain access to the Hutt ship.

(It would be. But as Faylar has revealed, the crates have alread all been off-loaded. In case you haven't noticed (what with you having watched all this lot without being spotted), Faylar's security outside of his palace is lousy).

"I doubt I will head into the palace myself," says Kiel. "Not unless it becomes clear that Yerssot is in there."

"What would you want me to do, Master?" asks Ithrorn. To your (possible) irritation, he gives a suggestion immediately. "If you plan to hide in the crates I can always keep watch."

And it is welcome time again, as we wlecome our newest Light Side member, Bespin Bart, playing the Geonosian Freelancer Xeth Tam!

This is the first time a Renegade has joind the Light Side. To remind you: A renegade is not evil. The only definition for a Rogue Jedi is that he does not follow the Code, like Qui-Gon. Other than that he is just as good a person as you guys are. The Council does not approve of what he does but do not condemn him either, and will even ask him to do missions sometimes. In general, though, he stays away from Coruscant.

Xeth Tam, working under the alias Vett Qa, has been hired by the Inner Planet of Taloraan to track some oif the alrming missing shipments of battle droids that should hve been dismantled after the Trade Federations' invasion of Naboo- many Inner Worlds feel the Federation is getting away with it but the Jedi are too stretced to investigate.

His investigation has led him to Shareth the Hutt, where he has infiltrated her bodyguard. And hence, he has come to K'rra Chi, where he has just been present at the scene described above.

Bart, you therefore now know that Shareth is selling these weapons to the despot Faylar, nominal ruler of the 13-planet strong Damagran Confederacy which recently left the Republic. However, the legal status of the Confederacy is dodgy, there is a large civil war in progress here as Faylar's men fight th4 pro-Republicans, and a huge Republican blockade of the planet is in effect as Faylar's dodgier deals are investigated.

Sadly, there is no legal case you can build against Shareth as she is trading outside the Republic. HOWEVER, you now have another priority. There is NO WAY that these weapons should have been allowed through the blocakde. Somehow, Shareth has acquired the Jedi clearance code hat allows them through for investigative reasons. You would be very interested in finding out how.

Right now, you and the rest of the bodyguard are returning to Shareth's ship at the docking bay.

Xeth holsters his pistol. Thank the Force that Faylar isn't a bloomin idiot. That would have been a shoot-out. Xeth begins walking back towards the spaceport, but not without a quick glance around. He spots a group of people in brown robes. Jedi Knights!? How did they get on Damagran? Xeth thinks, using the Force to sense them. He also senses one of Faylar's bodyguards, who the Jedi have fixed their gaze on. The bodyguard walks away, and the Jedi fix their gaze on Shareth the Hutt and her entourage.

(I guess I will let you be more observant than everyone else and have spotted the Jedi. That's player luck for you!)

"Faylar is more dangerous than he looks," says one of Shareth's aides. "He WILL try and pay us back for that."

"Faylar is unimportant," says Shareth. "Even with my droids he will never be more than a petty politician. Sooner or later the Republic will destroy him. Our only priority is getting as much of hid gold as possible."

That's true, Xeth. Faylar did seem to have a LOT of gold. Where the heck would he have gotten all that from? No gold on Damagran or anywhere in the Confederacy, as far as you know.

Lance senses another force being in the Hutt's entourage. He doesn't let his body show it.

Xeth senses one of the Jedi sensing him. He turns about, but the Jedi had hidden. He turns back to Shareth. "Faylar is a fool. I could have blown his head off if we weren't here on business."

(You've walked a fair way away from the Jedi by now anyway)

"Faylar could not control his allies," says Shareth. "He sought friends in bad places. Now he has taken his chance too early and he will pay for it; his allies have ever deserted him or are destroyed. His bounties he have placed are all on people that used to work for him, people that no sensible being would do business with..."

"Ah yes, the Dark Jedi. Do you suspect they might be on this planet?" Xeth asks. He looks around again, but the Jedi are completely gone without a trace.

"It's not my concern. Except that if they are we will have to speed up the sale because no force in the Galaxy will save Faylar then."

You know that on some vague scale the Dark Jedi that 'worked' for Faylar are known to the Hutts- or at least one of them is. But there is a lot there you never understood. They seemed to be doing a lot of work for Faylar for no payment. You didn't even know of their existence until the whole Damagran situation was vlown open, of course. You would assume if the Jedi are here it will be something to do with this link, so maybe they can help.

Their Dark Jedi leader is called Kuylen, you think. Quite a scandal; he used to be a Jedi.

Gundark briefly wondered if Ithrorn had picked up on her thoughts or his suggestion was a fluke; it was a moot point. She answered Master Kiel first. "Argentis IS our first concern, per the council's instructions of course." The mission, Kellan, always the mission... The ghost of FireMaster taunted her yet again. She forced him from her thoughts and respectfully added, "do you have an alternative suggestion ?"

"Well, I'm not actually here for Argentis myself, of course," says Kiel "I have a mind to try and follow that bounty hunter. If the Force is willing he will lead me straight to our enemies and yerssot."

"You'll have to find Balek first of course. How do you plan to convince yerssot to return to the Order ?"
