Theforce.net said in post that they can confirm the following:this post is just to let you know that people out there have now seen Star Wars on DVD, they've witnessed some of the changes themselves and we'll all know soon enough all of the intricate details of the release. So far we believe we can confirm Hayden being added to ROJ and Ian McDiarmid as the Emperor in the Trilogy. Naboo is also included in the ending celebrations and there's another pass on Jabba in ANH.

Now, didn't I tell you that the picture of Hayden as Anakin at the end of ROTJ was authentic?
Yup, I did.

Hey Guys! everybody by a around of applause how do you feel!
TFN has some dvd trailer comparison thing. The u.s one put up against a french one, and it is suppose to show the changes to the OT. The only thing I saw was the light sabers in the OBI/vader duel seemed to be fixed. Obi's is a little darker blue, and vader's has more of red glow instead of it looking like this pink rod. I'd post a pic, but I don't know how. Sorry 🙁
Ok, fixing little things like the lightsabers I got no problem with, especially since it's a glaring problem. I just hate the nitpicky stuff. No one can tell the Emperor is a different actor from ESB to ROTJ. No one notices the English ANH writing except for YOU GUYS. And because of people bitching constantly about stuff like that, we get stupid shit like that extra Jabba scene (That was cut for a reason folks, it sucks.), idiotic droid comedy in Mos Eisley, and Greedo shooting first.
Anyway you can't watch that trailer comparison thing anymore. Bummer 🙁 . I really wanted you guys to see it. It was clear as day the lightsabers in the obi/vader duel were given the goods. So this is my hyperspace rant for the day: I can't believe GL is actually making you pay to watch an advertisement. Its like whipping out 5 bucks out of your wallet before turning the page of a magazine. I guess Star wars sells itself.
What idiotic droid comedy?
That stupid bit where they're first coming into Mos Eisley. It's supposed to be a terrifying "hive of scum and villany", and we're treated to a big droid squashing a smaller droid, then a brontosaurus rip off and a crashing speeder. Whoop de doo.

whats does that meen?[/quote]
People on this board are always bitching about that writing. I never noticed it, no one does unless you're being really really nitpicky.
I just got done watching Return of The Jedi. There wasn't too much added to it, its basically the Special Edition. The things I noticed where:
Lightsabers looked improved
Improved laser effects
Naboo shows up in the ending celebrations (in order of bespin, tatooine, then naboo) and lasts about 3 seconds. Its a long shot of the palace and crowed street with some gungans on top a tower partially visible. This could be a direct lift from the end of Episode 1, not sure on that.
Hayden Christain appears as a ghost along side Yoda and Kenobi (he isnt credited in the credits for it)
Another thing I noticed, but im not sure if its new. During the celebrations at Courscant, when the camera pans down and pans left along the row of people, you can hear the Wilheim scream ("araghh!"😉 right after you hear someone shouting "the sun of suns!". On further inspection I saw that the scream is from a lone stormtrooper that the crowd is knocking six colors of s**t outta. He gets thrown up in the air and you hear a crunching sound like his back broke.
Again im not sure if that was in the special edition already or not; so forgive if im wrong.

I just read this on another website, www.shampoopoo.com/flotsam . This appears to be a very good website. The information is a few months old, but I had not heard this. Here it is:
[B]There's a new scene(shot during Episode III) where Darth Vader goes to Coruscant and lands his ship in the same building Count Dooku does at the end of Attack of the Clones. Except now the building is all fixed up and it is now Palpatine's palace. He meets with Palpatine to ask for forgiveness for his failure and inform him of a new potential who is strong in the Force.
This scene is supposedly going to be inserted into the dvd release of ANH. I know I've stated before that I don't like messing with past works of art, but I have to admit I would like to see this.
What's your opinion?

just been browsing this thread and found this post. Can it be true? any updates?? I would like to see this scene. If not, will we get to see palps at all in ANH? I also read that we will get a glimpse of yoda when alderaan is destroyed, is this true?? These scenes would be nice, im not to bothered about who shoots who with han and greedo but these two scenes would be great.
