Hey, if you happen to think that home made web shooters are the thing that makes Spiderman who he is, then more power to ya. I guess if I go out and make myself some web shooters, then I'd be Spiderman. Even better, if Doc Ock somehow "stumbled" onto the formula, then he'd be Spiderman! Then you could have Spiderman vs. Spiderman. If Doc Ock shared his formula with Norman Osborn, then we could have Spiderman vs. Spiderman vs. Spiderman. Forget all the "with great power comes great responsibility" stuff, it's the web shooters! That's the true essence of Spiderman. Now I know the deal. I am now converted.

The webshooters are cool gadgets and help to create cliffhangers in stories like Superman's kryptonite. Actually I don't understand why they didn't give him organic webbing in the first place.

I remember this from the man spider hate thread. End result, Spiderman has webbing, what's the big deal? I'll bet if Spidey was first created with organic webbing there wouldn't be a big fuss over it.

Spider-Man is Spider-Man so says the creator of Spider-Man 🙄 Bob Kane wasn't too keen about his dynamic duo having nipples in the movies but that didn't make him Bondage Bat. Point being, the essence of the character is still there and fans should be glad that there is a Spider-Man movie at all instead of being ungrateful.
