Say someone is really keen on spelling, or phrased their post wrong. Should they see it the next day, they can't go back and edit it, because we're only allowed 15 minutes?

Everything on this board is subject to "abuse". How many instances were there, and when, that took place that led to the decision to do away with self deletion and editing of posts?

I'm just curious, especially why we can't even edit our own user names.

I tried editing one of my posts 8 minutes after posting originally, and it said that "you can only edit your post before 15 minutes after posting"...blah blah blah
