Why is there a time limit on editing?
I just wondered there, when I was editing my post on another site.

I'm no expert, but Bashing could be a reason. If Person A got into a fight with person B, Person A could go back and edit some of his posts to be Hurtful or whatever.

Anyway, the Edit time should be a bit longer, even if it was only Five minutes more. More than once, I've had to double post because I just missed the time.

How was Banned-Land, Bloigen?

A post should be your thought at a specific moment, and should not be changed over time. That is why the posts are ordered by date, so people can follow a conversation as it happened.

The editing window is only meant to correct minor mistakes. 15 minutes is more than enough time to correct any errors.

Okay, cool.

Could we have a longer period to go back and edit posts? 15 mins doesn't seem to really cut it. Why not an even 20 or even 30 mins? It's annoying realizing you've made several spelling mistakes, and since English wasn't my first language, nothing can be done to go back and edit them.

So, this is a no?

Spellcheck.

I wouldn't mind an extended time limit either...

I guess it's a no, since Raz's post declines it so in a past thread.

This has been asked before and it was decided that 15 minutes is enough to change a post.

I disagree, there have been times when I wanted to change my posts.

20-25 mins seems more reasonable to me.

Y-you disagree? 😮

I don't see why 15 minutes wouldn't be ling enough. T o be fair, it's a luxury even having an edit function.

let's have a 20 minutes. and lets get back to making me a mod 😄
