i dont think this film is headin in the right direction niether, they need to get writers from the first 2 films to write the script not the writer from t3. And how can they already be thinking of a new terminator when the 4th one takes place in the early years of the war. terminators hadent even been manufactured yet around that time.

Theyre all machine too arent they?
No human exoskeleton, they would be war machines. And the battle between those and the humans would look pretty crap.
ya i agree, unless the movie takes place like 20yrs after judgement day and they just recap what has happened in the war until that point. that wud make the most sense. and i have no idea why the hell they wud say 2005, it must be a mistake.
I didn't pick up any resemblence between Xena and the T-X.
yeah, i didn't either. i was just saying that a evil terminator that looks like xena imho would be wrong; an athletic, attractive one like kristanna loken is more menacing. just my .02
i've only watched parts of xena here and there myself. can't really rate the show, but i figured ll is a homegrown actress, etc.

Speaking of time travel in T4, Jonathon Mostow said something that was really disturbing. He made some comment how they could explore more about the time travel, and how it works. He wants to do something about how they go back into the future. 'Cringe'. They can't go back. remember T1. Doctor Silberman - "How do you go back?" Reese-"I can't... Nobody goes home. It's just me and him."
That's true; as long as the time displacement machines continue to be blown up after use, each time travel is a one way trip. But why does that trip always have to be to the past? Then again, I can't think why the characters would want to go into the future ...
Vvvrulz - I think that, for all its flaws, the sequel to "The Matrix" showed us that flying can now be realistically pulled off ...
I'm not so sure, through my eyes, the flying wasn't pulled off that well in the matrix sequels anyway. It made it all too easy for Neo to simply 'fly away'. In revolutions, the Smith vs Neo finalè looked like something straight out of an average DBZ episode. I'm not saying it can't be done, but careful thought must be implemented.
i think time travel back in time is worn out; they're gonna have to time travel to the future. how they bring the time machine with them when they go back to go to the future(what a concept), i don't know. if h.g. wells were alive, i think he would have a good laugh over this terminator stuff.
question: if the terminators are controlled by a cpu, wouldn't an electro magnetic pulse weapon disable them? here's a twist: the bad terminators have actual--not cyborgs--working for them. what about that? no more cyborgs who look like humans but have superhuman strength or can turn their hands into weapons. the good guys would never suspect that.
i think i have too much time on my hands hehe...
northstar51 - Don't worry, my friend, we ALL clearly do 😛 !
To take each of your points in turn:
1} Did it occur to you that there may not be the need for any time travel in T4? It might just be a simple war movie ...
2} Hmmm ... I suppose that an electro-magnetic pulse weapon would probably disable the terminators ...
3} A terminator whose arm turns into a weapon? Sort of like the TX, isn't it?
