Cover versions suck?

Cover Versions

Hi peeps,

Just wanted to know if you ALSO HATE IT

see i've just heard a hip-hop remix of Under the Bridge (originally Red Hot Chili Peppers)

How can a HIP HOP CHICK DARE to cover one of the GREATEST SONGS EVER?

what do you think? is it ok with you or do you hate it also?

Covers are crap 👇

Yay! Fellow! Mate! 😄

I'll agree, in some ways, it depends who covers a great and classic song, but when someone from a different genre of music trys to covers someone from another different genre of music, it is bowned to suck.

True, most cover versions suck ✅

Except for Behind Blue Eyes 😛
The original version is 😘 ...

I so agree Exa 😂

nice av...sorry

Well...that's true 😛

who did the cover of that again? 😮

who korri?

Its Limp Bizkit, covered from The Who

Limb Bizcut sucks.

PS: are you ABE LINCOLN?

yep 😛 well, I was §pearhead before being Abe, but I'm not sure you were a member then

he is 😛

but other way round....

cos he changed it from §pearhead to Abe Lincoln

a lot of covers are crap, yeah, but some ain't as bad as others. i really liked the girls aloud cover version of 'Jump'. i don't expcet a lot of you will appreciate that though.. 😕

some covers are good but most r crap

I disagree with Exa in saying that the original version of "Behind Blue Eyes" was crap. The Limp Bizkit version was REALLY crap ✅

Good covers:

Alien Ant Farm - Smooth Criminal (overplayed tho)
Tool - No Quarter
Spineshank - As My Guitar Gently Weeps
Orgy - Blue Monday

there's many more, i can't be bothered to think of em, but you get the point. good cover versions do exist, its not all limp bizkit and marilyn manson.

Who originally does "As My Guitar Gently Weeps"?

Btw: I covers can be pretty cool but a hip-hop version of "Under the Bridge" 😬

most cover versions are crap
but I agree with Deathblow on Orgy's blue monday that was really good
also good covers are:
sweetdreams - manson
tainted love - manson
big in japan - guano apes (not sure if you all know this one)

I usually dont like cover version, but I must say that Jeff Buckleys version of Leonard Cohens "Hallelujah" is awesome
