So what if they keep at it? Leave it be and it'll die much quicker. If you refrain from commenting, or getting mixed up in it, there's far less for any agitator to speak of and a topic will die at an increased rate.

Artistry, variety, balancing a character. Teaching the Perfect Cast.
I think those three can be one and the same aspect 😛
Or we can have an RP thread stickied as the Newcomer's first RP where they go through a very quick process of learning from RPer to RPer. Starting with the basics, then to the essentials, and so forth. They must RP as they are taught as if they are actually going to school, and roleplaying as the student the best they can.
We must first ask them important questions such as the genre of RP's they are most interested in so we can have an idea of how to teach the newcomer. Maybe that's another way to choose the teachers...depending on genre of RP's.
The method of teaching wouldn't be so hard. One example could be creating a sample post of yourself posting in a Pre historic War based RP and trying to explain how your character, the soldier, is fighting off multiple incoming attacks from multiple enemies. You add flaws to the post and ask the new comer "What is wrong with this post?"
Or do the same thing, but with character sheets. 😛

I would take part too.
What aspect of RPing would you teach?
To be honest, reading does not always equal better writing or text based interactions.
I learned how to RP on my own and got the hang of it quickly. Some just get, some don't. Especially when it comes to the essentials to text based RPing and limitations, along with flow and character development.
And English class is actually not a bad idea though. You'd be surprised of the amount of reading elements you would be using when RPing. XD

Reading is what's gotten me to where I am in writing.

I progressed and maintained my grammar and formulation in writing through by reading online discussions, texts, and RPing. I have also learned how to formulate orally through video discussion with others and taking an interest in writing stories just for fun.
In RPing, you need an idea.
