"Verdimillious!" came a voice from down the hall.
"Lumos! Lumos!"

"What's going on?" asked Cassie sleepily. She rubbed at her eyes and followed to where Lydia's voice had been.

Lydia bdidn't cry out. She had some dignity. Too bad it was at the wrong time. "WHo's there? Help" she pleaded

Ohfman stood above Lydia.
"Did he bite you?" he asked, holding her down and checking her neck, arms, and legs.

Lydia found it hard to calm her breathing. "I don't know." she said.

"No, he didn't. Come, to your common room."
To the Fat Lady, he said, "Lumos Voluspa".
The picture opened wide.
"Yes, I know the password, get in, get in."

Lydia nodded and ran in. She fell on the couch and looked up at the ceiling."What the hell is happening."

"Stay here. Do not open the painting to anyone. I will lock the painting now, don't leave until morning-and watch the profanities.
Lock up the windows, and board them up!
Good night!"
and he went.

Lydia sighed. Great, she was confined to the gryffindor tower til morning. "Not if i can help it." she said grabbing her broom and slipping out the window.

James grabbed Lydia's broom before she had a chance to slide out.

"Lydia, as much as I love a good sneaking about, I don't want you to be bitten." He said, his usual joking tone gone from his words. The head boy stared at her hard, the waved his wand casually, causing sevel boards to place themselves securely on each window.

~Night.~

(Gotta go for now. Play James for meee!)

Lydia turned and glared at James. She bit back a remark that only one of her family could come up with. "Potter, please. I am not going to get bit." she said looking at the boards. Her voice wasn't pleading but uncharacteristically cold. It was as if venom dripped from her lips.

"Where is it Ohfman? Where!?!?"
"Calm down Dippet, it is in the Forest now, I fear young Atticus was bitten-"
Voices came from outside the Gryffindor common room, and then they disappeared.

Lydia glared. She wanted out, and she wanted out now! She couldn't see how James didn't wonder what was going on.

"James, maybe she needs to get out. I heard a lot of racket in the hall. What happened?' asked Cassie.

James shook his head, arms crossed firmly. "No, believe me, Lydia...you don't want to be bitten. I know, one of my best friends got bitten when we were 7. He's now locked up in the hospital. He can't have vistitors at all." He explained. "And I'm NOT going to let that happen to you."

"Then you mean its a werewolf?" asked Cassie. She covered her mouth as James glared at her.

"No," He said, keeping the glave evident. "He was bitten by a vampire, and he's now locked away."

"And that wont happen to any of us if I can help it,"

"Right, Potter," said Evans from a niche nearby. Her face was covered by the darkness.
