The Marauders

Lydia could feel the connection she had with James. It wasn't one like she and remus had, but one like he was her older brother. She smiled at the thought. Bring an only child and both her parents in there current state, she was left to live with her uncle.

James did something unexpected before lydia left. He gave her a hug and whispered. "Don't let anything fool you. If you see something unnatural looking, run. At least stay on your guard, ok?" He whispered, then released his 'little sister'.

~AWWW!!!~

Lydia glanced back at James and nodded before the portal swung close sealing a space in between her and her friends. She looked up at Professor Dumbledore.

James sighed. If Dumbledor let a vampire get to Lydia, James would get to Dumbledore. He turned to the others. "Well, secure all, and I mean all, the openings, right now," He said, then set to work.

"Lydia, I did not bring you with me because I feared you were bitten: Professor Ohfman already discovered you were bite free.
"I told you nto come with me, beacuse of several reasons. One being, I want you to watch over James, and his firends-they are so very brash.
Another, more important reason, is your past connection with Vampires.
"Come, let us talk." said Dumbledore comfortingly.

James sat, still clentching his wand, after he was sure no gaps were left. he was awaiting Lydia's return...

Lydia followed Dumbledore. She didn't feel like talking right now. She sighed.

Evans put her arm on James' shoulder for the first time. "It's ok, James. She'll come back in one piece," she said with a smile.

"Now that that is done, go back now, Lydia." said Dumbledore comfortingly.

Lydia nodded and practical ran back to the common room. She slipped in and saw Liy and James 'bonding'. Not wanting to disturb them she tried to sneak to her room but stepped on a glass toy that broke. "Shit!"

Evans was sitting away from James but still talking to him all the same. To think she used to avoid him a long time ago was weird.

Lydia sighed. Maybe she was wrong about Potter and Evans. She wanted to see Remus again.

James laughed at Lily. "Oh, I know," He said. He blniked as she came back so quickly.

"Wow, that was fast. What'd you have to do?" He asked.

Lydia shrugged. "Nothing." she lied. "Where's Remus?"

James stood, smirking. "I know you're lieing...you're forgetting who I am! James Potter! I lie all the time." He said. "So what happened?" He added eagerly.
